Hi everybody
I will be forced to leave EvE in august as I am moving to Sweden and won't have a computer that I can play EvE on.
If I wanted to start again, say next summer do I have to start all over or can I somehow save my character?
Does anyone know
p.s. Carebears kicked ass if they needed to... __________ Capacitor research |

I think that at the moment, character data is saved indefinitely, even when a subscription is cancelled. I don't know if this policy is going to hold once the player base starts to grow, however.

The word "once" needs to be replaced with "If and when".
Saving of characters indefinately has been said but so have many other things.
One truly never knows until they try.

All posts I have been reading about this says the same thing = Your account will be saved for an unlimited time. No timelimits.
Btw: Here in sweden you can get hooked up to internet really fast so dont worry , you will play EVE in notime again

If any of you swedes are feeling lonely in space, join the "Sverige" channel ingame. We're currently about 20-35 people. |

sweden is pretty much the most wired* country on earth. you may have difficulty recalling the appearance of the sun . Enjoy!
*this includes wireless stuff
You are in a maze of twisty little asteroids, all alike. |

I think Dust Puppy hails from Iceland. The Sun does not live anywhere near the place. Sweden is going to look like a tropical Paradise to this guy, that is IIRC :)

Maybe as a country, BH, but Tokyo, Japan has obscenely cheap ultra-high speed access.
'Course, they also have some of the highest living expenses of any city in the world. ------------- My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants. I <3 ( . Y . ) |

At H÷torget in stockholm(assuming that's where you are heading) there is a gaming cafe, think it was called Matrix or so, they had EVE installed last time I was in sweden, so there actually isn't a need to disable your account, with like 1 hour played every now and then you can easily keep skills training and even get some ISK earned even while you are without a computer able to run the game. The other alternative is a laptop with GPRS for example, some providers still offer unlimited MB deals, others cap at 100 megs and/olr charge per meg that you consume.

So, in short, you can still play Eve. Only not in Fountain. Because in Fountain we harbor pirates and sodomize captives with fish and whatnot. Thinking about capturing it all on film and selling it... or taking pictures and charging isk to access it via an ingame website. --------------- I used to be in the FA. I like cookies. Eve Radio is teh pwn. |
