Which battleship is the best for corp mining and if different, which is the best for solo mining. I know i could look at the stats, and i have, but sometimes someone notices something that will make it better for a different reason than i see it.

the apoc....
650 cargo, 6 low slots, 8 turret slots. throw on local hull conversions and cu vapors, some drones, and go to town.
kind of cost ineffective, but it gets the job done. "To be content,to be comfortable, is to be complacent. No one learns anything from pleasure..pain on the other hand is a most efficient instructor" |

Why in Gods great EVE would you use a battleship when a thorax is damn close to the same, and considerabley cheaper. 5 cu's and 10 harvesters, even thats overkill.

Some people just like to mine in style!
I agree that the Apoc is the best battleship to mine in. And it's not half bad for fighting in either.

Miners who want battleships to mine will be the death of us all. How happy will pirates be to have someone drive up in a battleship, horribly underpowered, and then pay ridiculous fines to pass because he doesn't have a snow balls chance in hell of getting away.
Silver Striker That's fantastic, really, but we need more COW BELL!!!! |

i suppose it is something to be used when your navy is not currently engaged in battle. say you have four or five people in apocalypse battleships.
with that setup, you can have 40 cu vapors mounted on a heavily armored industrial battleship fleet. you could powermine a belt dry in about an hour.

Because bistot fields are guarded (at least some of them) by 50k pirates, and battleships would be able to use half turrets and half mining lasers and substain damage a LOT more than cruisers, so you wouldn't have to use 5 cruisers to cover you, and thoraxes wouldn't have to warp out as soon as they are being targetted by a 50k pirates while the guardians attack them...

Well, i want to put out as much ore as possible as quick as possible. Mining lower lvl ss requires some offense so i need to carry a couple of heavy drones, so large drone capacity is a must.
I don't see how i will be forced to pay pc pirates when i don't mine in 0.0 sectors, i get what i need in a higher ss. Mine omber resell and buy the mega zyd i need.
Can't see how a thorax holds a light to a BS mining, imo.
