Hey Guys,
New to EVE and I have a question regarding PI.
Right now I just learning about PI and doing some trial and error testing. My question is, how do I collect my extractions to take back with me to my station? Where is my launch pad lauching my product to??? Is it in space or at some station?. I can't find my product anywhere. That part wasn't covered in any "youtube" video...;)
Thanks for any help you might give. |

A Customs Office is orbiting the Planet. Stuff goes there.
- Science & Industry window - Right click the desired planet under the PI tab - trough the menu go to the PI setting - select warp to Customs Office
or something like that.... |

Launch pads will send items to the POCO floating around the planet. You need to warp to the POCO, and transport the items from planet to POCO (Drag from right to left). You will then be charged the tax prices and confirm. The items will then be stored in the POCO where you can drag/drop them into your ship (if you are within 2500m of it). POCO's can store up to 35,000m3 worth of your items.
You also do not need to be next to the POCO to drag items from planet to POCO, just in space and in system.
Once you setup a command center on a planet you will see the planet show up in the science and industry window under the planets tab.
You can right click on a planet (while in space obviously) and you will see customs office as an option. Move over that and choose warp to 0. And you'll fly to the POCO. |

If you only have a command center, it used to put your goodies into orbit, for you to pick up. I think it used to show up in the same window that missions are shown, but a different tab. |

If you launched it instead of sending it to the customs barge orbiting then look in you journal for planetary launches the right click while in space "warp too" the cargo container in orbit of the planet. |

Thanks.
I just ran into another problem. I launched my product to the Planetary Custom Office but when i went to find it in space it's not there. I also checked my overview map and it doesn't come up.
Now when i go into planet mode i see the orbiting line, but no station.
Is there another way to find this custom station? I sent my items to this station and now I'm affraid its lost.

If you launch goods from the command center they are in a random orbit around the planet. Open your jornal on the left side of the screen and there will be a book mark to warp to, so you can pick it up.
You will find very quickly launching goods is not worth the bother. you can only launch 500m3 at a time with a 1 hour cool down between launches.
If you build a launch pad facility on the planet, it will transfer your goods to the customs office. You can also deliver goods to the customs office to be imported to the planet. How ever you will pay an import/export tax on any goods moved through the customs office.
To set up an efficient PI operation you want command centers to at least 4. This will give you enough PG/CPU to run a launchpad, two extraction controllers, two basic and one advanced factory, and hopefully enough extraction heads to keep your production going 24/7. For a simple set up the idea is to extract 2 P0 materials which will refine into P1 materials at the basic factories, and then feed the advanced factory to refine into a P2 output which you can sell.
Each planet type holds the right P0 raw materials to produce at least one type of P2 from scratch with no importing. I recommend producing P2 products that are used for fuel blocks as they have a very consistent demand and sell well. these are; P1 -Oxygen - best to be produced on gas planets P2 - Mechanical Parts -produced on Barren Planets P2 - Coolant - produced on Storm and Gas planets P2 - Enriched Uranium - produced on Plasma planets P3 - Robotics - produced on Plasma planets or on Barren with toxic metals imported.
there are many other PI products used for manufacturing different things from T2 gear to POS towers and outposts. The demand is reliably high though for those used in POS fuel. Others can have demand, and value fluctuate much more unpredictably. |

Also, just extracting and selling the P1 materials is lucrative. I buy a bunch of P1 stuff off the market because I can't get hold of it myself. |
