Ok Im having a bit of a problem running Eve on my laptop. The thing is that while in space close to space stations and other places with alot fo objects floating around i have 2-3 fps. Which basically is unplayable. I tried most of the settigns in the Sticky about getting better FPS, and though it helped alittle (in station) it didnt do anything for the fps in space. While I am in space looking in a direction where there are not many objects my fps gets a whooping boost and lands on about 30 fps, which I guess is alright.
Anyone else that uses a Laptop and have had the same issue that can give me some advice on how to solve this I would appreciate it alot! Otherwise I have to shelf EVE untill I get back home to my stationary computer... and that would make me sad :).
Cheers!
Ps. Im sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before and all that, but Im new to eve so have alittle patience Ds.

Hi
I use my IBM T40 laptop to play eve(not as primary machine but when im not home) I had some issues before updating drivers. Use this link to get total updated. Update my drivers here ! Then i set resolution to 1024x768 16bit, 16bit remove dither and remove sun occular in generic. Now it should run pretty ok. Kern Walzky "Freedom is part of life" |

Thanx I'll try downloading those drivers instead of the ones I have.

Saddly updating my drivers in windows messed up some sysfiles and I can't boot in windows anymore. Thankfully my trusted Ubuntu steed still works. I'll probably have to reinstall windows from scratch. Thanx anyways... I probably messed something up with the download manger thingy that the link lead me to. Oh well !

I also have a T40 for playing when on biz travel and get a hard lock with vblack screen just as the character selection show up. I've got all the lates tupdates and DXdiag runs 3d tests smootly.
Totally clueless to what the problem might be.

It looks like an ATi chipset, has anyone tried the Omegacorner drivers?
I have an Ati chipset in my Acer laptop and I use these ok.
