not content with my pirate faction agent offering me a 2 run frig bpc, for 380 mil....
he's now offered me a 2 run faction cruiser bpc for 1 billion
/sarcasm oh am i lucky! ./sacrasm
i can buy a faction bship built for 1.5 bil....
whats the bship offer gonna be? 100 bil?
is this broken?

Nope spot on.
They added some new offers that are considerably lower LP but considerably higher ISK demands.
So basically you got two of the low LP offers for ships.

To have the offers ask for that much isk is a littel silly though. They should still be within reason.

they are.
if you got the cash and want the ship, they are providing the means. no matter if it's a rediculous offer or not.
nobody said all offers are personally worth it and they will always throw in some bunk offers and hope they continue to do so and continue to add just as many bad ones as they do good ones.
Nobody said that agents aren't scammers too. Some of them are and offers like those prove it.

As the result risk vs reward model is not really right.

My understanding is 90 mil and 10k LPs for a 1-run faction frigate BPC, though I have had a couple people tell me they got 15-run BPCs for the same cost. Go figure. However, given that pirate faction ships drop from complexes, their price has bottomed out. I can get a sansha's succubus for 20 mil. So, 380 mil for 2-run BPC...hmmm, that's a good deal. My profit would be what.... -340 mil, cool. And sure, you can decline these offers, and sure, that's what happens, but it really sucks to see something arguably very unique and sought after to be so close and yet completely out of reach due to a completely unreasonable ammount. Lets not forget, THESE ARE FRIGS, and compared to tech II, they suck.
bUBbLeS got teh shaft.

I had an offer of 8 run fleet cruiser (stabber i think) for 400k loyalty points and 2 billion isk, which seemed a bit... excessive

How's 4 memorey +3 implants for a straight up 60,000 LP sound.
no ISK cost.
And that was back when they still sold for 70 mill each.  all the way to the bank.
agreed that with the release of BPC's in complexes and rat spawns totally screws anyone doing missions in quests for a faction ship.
Just another version of exodus to encourage the empire mission runners to stop and go run complexes instead. Keep screwing people hard enough in empire so that it aint worth it to even paly the game there to force people to leave it. Not the best way to encourage exodus but seems to be the new philosophy.
Heck our mission gang has produced 6 sucky BPC's from the same two sansha complexes.
but yet have never gotten a faction ship offer for any LP.
think they got one team working on complexes and rat spawns and another team working on missions and LP rewards and the two aint talking about the costs and rewards to each other.
but hey, I guess I'm the only one come to take the good with the bad and enjoy the game for what it is........
A screwed up mess with two sides arguing balance and risk vs reward for their side of things as they see fit to do so with some the most killer sci fi graphics ever concieved and things that go boom like fireworks.
I personally from day one have been addicted to amassing ISK and I'll simply follow the money. and unfortunately for all you guys that started running missions since exodus release and just before to gain access to lvl 4's missions in quests to chase faction ships missed the best part of it.
missions and LP system are almost not worth it to group for lvl 4's with this last nerf to LP and rewards.
the only missions worth it now are lvl 3's solo.
I feel for you guys burning the midnight lamp jamming for LP when someone can go out and run a complex and in a short time span aquire the item that you have been working monthes for.
But hey, screw the empire law abiding pilot enough and they'll be forced to leave. It may be leave the game though and not leave empire.
