Howdy all,
I just signed up for EVE last night (not a trial) and I've already signed up for the next 3 months at a minimum. The depth and complexity of the game reminds me of Anarchy Online which if any of you played, you know how much character management went into that (skill points anyone?). The thing is, I LOVE that level of detail.
I'd like to join a mature, preferably RP corp, one that won't relegate me to mule status and one that lets the members do their own thing while contributing to the corporation. I don't want free ships or free money, I can earn that on my own. I'd like a sense of accomplishment. What I do need is help getting started, meaning any advice I can get. I actually read the new player guide but that obviously only covers so much.
I like to PvP (far from ready obviously), I do want to RP but I don't know if I want to be the angry former slave striking back at my former masters or if I want to take the route of a mega-corporation OR if I want to interdict shipping lanes for profit. But I don't want to be bound yet which I understand might limit my corporation options immediately.
Anyways, dedicated, mature, funky playing hours (I'm a network security consultant so my playing hours vary based on what's going on this week) and love to have fun. Looking forward to meeting you all in-game.

go back to the character creation screen and follow these 2 easy steps
1. create a new Amarrian character
2. Join PIE
in any event good luck

i think Trigger said it right there .
PIE are a RP corp they also cover i believe any other aspect of EvE and always pvp due their RP wars .
Oh and they well respected / mature etc in EvE .
