With actions such as never fitting warp core stabilizers and never thinking about there own safety. Thank you for just giving the enemy hell. Thank you fellow BoB members.
Thank you for not thinking about yourself and always fitting for killing the enemy.

Why do you feel its necessary to use EVE-O for this, surely you have a forum for BoB you could have posted it on? These kind of threads are extremely boring and a complete waste of space. Bunch of fruits you B0B guys are

Well, let me translate for those who are tactfully challenged.
"FA r teh suck because they fit WCS on practically any ship. It's a selfish thing to do as it displays your primary concern is with yourself and not with anyone else you're fighting with."
Personally, I despise them. I've repeatedly said that if I get caught with WCS on ANY COMBAT SHIP, that my corp members or alliance mates can kill my ship and pod me then and there. It's my philosophy that if I get myself in a position to where I have no escape, then I deserve to die.
I think this recurring problem really defines the current situation. We (BoB) do not fit WCS (at least I hope we don't) because we are naturally aggressive, and confident that we will not need them. However, FA would most likely fit them on shuttles if they could, because they are 100% defensive.
There are the occasional FA pilots who have not fitted them, deathfighter for one, Khal Alek for another, and when I found they hadn't fitted any, my respect for them skyrocketed, because it takes a lot of balls to engage any dedicated pvp corp/alliance without a means of escape like WCS.
Now, as for dealing with the problem of WCS stacking, I've a few ideas. Stacking penalties come to mind, taking longer to warp perhaps, or possibly not being able to fit above a certain amount. Anything that lowers the popularity of the god-forsakened module would be good in my books.
I hate them. I hate them like fire. -----------------------------------------------

Zigy, I understand your frustration, but IMO there are three settings for WCS on a ship:
0 - Fleet combat and people who go around saying, "I'm invicible!!" Also popular among ex-PIE Fleet Admirals who join merc corps...
1 or 2 - A sensible compromise depending on the situation. "There's not that many of us. I need to tweak my fitting a bit."
All low slots filled - Stacking Nerf, CCP, please!
It's that last one that gets everyone mad. If people didn't do that crap I wouldn't have much of a problem with them. -

Yeah, makes sense.
Right after they Give warp scramblers a stackling penalty.I don't fit warp stabs, but they are made for a reason. There are many reasons empire people, mission runners, npcers, and miners might want to fit them.Even pvpers for some reason maybe, only problem i see is people thinking they are high and mighty while using them.If you use them don't go around smacking local while warping out tackled by 3 inte's.
But giving them a nerf is dumb, until u give warp scramblers a nerf. Are the lame, yeah.Does it suck to think you finaly caught some slinky guy and he gets away scrambled..yeah. No reason to nerf a mod that has other uses than making you happy cuzz you got a kill mail with your 1 point scrambler on board.

I dont see anything wrong with fitting a couple stabbies, is it not better to keep your ship to keep a larger force than to lose it because you didnt have 2 stabbies on. I use stabbies on all my bs fittings unless im feeling suicidal, 2 is a good number saves you many of times. O well no one will ever agree on this subject, but when your on the smaller side you might understand a bit better.

Edited by: Desius on 22/07/2005 20:38:06 To use WCS or not is completely up to the gang, fleet, or individual pilot.
They have their uses just as they have an in-game counter to them. A lot of the uproar I see is born from frustration because people aren't cooperating, when you want them dead, by failing to get scrambled easily and therefore get away alive. Honor and glory both have their place on the battlefield but saying WCS isn't 'fair' is like asking military personnel to remove their flak jackets just so you can shoot them easier.
Don't use them because you're confident you have enough backup to survive an encounter? Great! You have that luxury. They really aren't required if you have backup. In my opinion WCS are most useful for running a blockade to meet up with a fleet as well as transporting valuable goods when you don't have a lot of support available.
Would I, personally, use any WCS in a fleet battle? No - but I do see a valid tactic in wasting the enemy's time by warping out once declared primary then returning to the fight. It's just another tactic and I've seen it used very effectively. If there is a problem with that then tackle more effectively instead of blanket statements saying anyone who uses a WCS is doing something lame just because they disappointed you by wanting to not have their ship blown up. Adapt and overcome - people who just throw themselves at you for quick destruction deserve to die.
Yet, on the other extreme, if every single setup you have for any type of ship has WCS on it then perhaps you should rethink why you're putting yourself in harm's way to begin with.

I don't care about stabs - they have their place and who can deny that there are people and corps out there that use them to their great advantage. Travel Setups full of stabs are fine, people will ***** but that's what people do. It's the PVP setups with 5-8 stabs in that people hate. The reason I hate it is because people claim that we (MC corps) always blob our targets when in fact usually we need that many people to get enough warp scramblers on the target.
Stabs on a Scorpion are cool btw.

Typical conversation when setting up a fleet:
"Hey guys, do you need more battleships or more tacklers?"
"Tacklers, then another tackler, then got some more tacklers please, thanks."
