According to the description "Mining drone operation" skill should give 5% more yield to mining drones. That would have the same affect on mining drones as the skill "mining" has on Players, but I can't see any change!
Does this skill work as supposed in the latest patch?
If not, when will it bee fixed?

Bump. Come on, the difference between 30 ore/min and 32/min is pretty huge when mining the larger ores. |

I'd suggest testing it. it's the only way to really know.

The Skill description says 5% bonus to yield, but the attributes tab says 5% bonus to mining drone speed. So i think the Skill description is fubared.

It may indeed make a difference of being able to mine 4 units of Dark Ochre instead of 3 (using Harvester Drones). I just trained mining drone operation up to lvl 3 and I did not notice any difference in the amount of ore the mining drones bring in. I was under the impression that during beta training the mining drone ops level actually increased the amount of ore a mining drone returns.

I'll create an Alt-char tonite with mining drone skill lvl 1 and test it versus my main char with lvl 3. Perhaps this will verify its the mining speed rather than the amount of ore being extracted.
Unfortunately the mining drone operation skill is not the only skill that does some different than its description, if its not broken at all in the first place.
CCP I urge you to read the descriptions of all skills and make them match the actual effect. I dont really care if a skill is working or not but it's nice to know before you waste time training it while there are some many other skills to train :)

I read a thread before and the conclusion was that it is the velocity of the mining drones that is increased and not the yield.
I guess it cuts down the travel time if you are a few K away from the ROIDs but I left this skill at level 1.
