I don't know how the calculations work for Modulated Strip Miner II with Tech 1/2 Crystals. Does anyone here know the exact calculation?
For Strip Miner I, these are the calculations:
StripMinerAmount * MiningPerc * AstroPerc * BargePerc
an example:
540 (oreunits) * 1.20 (lvl4) * 1.20 (lvl4) * 1.09 (lvl3) = 847 * 2 = 1.694 m¦
So if we would follow this method for Strip Miner II:
720 (oreunits) * 1.25 (lvl5) * 1.20 (lvl4) * 1.09 (lvl3) = 1177 * 2 = 2.354 m¦
But the info on the Strip Miner II's is 360 ore units + 360 ore for crystal.
So maybe the bonusses apply to the first 360, and the second 360 gets the crystal bonus of 1.75% (tech2)
Then it could be like this:
360 (oreunits) * 1.25 (lvl5) * 1.20 (lvl4) * 1.09 (lvl3) = 588
360 (oreunits) * 1.0175 (Tech2crystalBonus) = 366
(588 + 366) * 2 = 1.908 m¦
So the question is, will Strip Miner II's with Tech 2 crystal mine 1.908 m¦ or 2.354 m¦ ?
I'll edit this post if someone knows the tech 2 calculations, so other people can see it too.

The equation is
Modulated Strip Miner II mining yield
int(360 * (1 + (mining_lvl * 0.05)) * (1 + (astrogeology_lvl * 0.05)) * (1 + (barge_lvl * 0.03)) * crystal_bonus)
Crystal Bonus
No crystal = 1.00
Tech 1 crystal = 1.625
Tech 2 crystal = 1.75
The modulated strip miner II requires mining lvl 5 so with mining lvl 5, astrogeology lvl 4, and mining barge lvl 3.
Tech 1 crystal
int(360 * 1.25 * 1.20 * 1.09 * 1.625) = 956 * 2 = 1912
Tech 2 crystal
int(360 * 1.25 * 1.20 * 1.09 * 1.75) = 1030 * 2 = 2060

Which would be:
360*1.25*1.25*1.15*1.75 = 1132m3/cycle

Not sure why you're doing the first bit then multiplying it by 2. Unless you're giving the total yield for a medium barge?

I have a question about the Modulated Deep Core Miner II. For the following skills would the yield be calculated thus: Mining 5, Astrogeology 5.
Mining Laser Amount * MiningPerc * AstrogeologyPerc * CrystalAdjustment
120 * 1.25 * 1.25 * 1.625 = 304.69 for Tech I Crystals
120 * 1.25 * 1.25 * 1.75 = 328.13 for Tech II Crystals
Also if using these in a Scythe or Osprey with cruiser lvl 5 would the calc be
120 * 1.25 * 1.25 * 2 (1 + cruiser lvl 5 * .20) * 1.625 = 609.38

Strip Miner II + Crystal is kind of expensive investment.
I made a rough calculation for pay-back.
Asume we are perfect miners (all skill's on 5)
Asume we have covertor.
Asume we only mine omber (save mining above 0.5 and good e^pensive Iso)
Asume price for 3 Strip Miner I: 9 Mil Isk
Asume price for 3 Strip Miner II + Crynullstal II: 27milx3 + 0.5 for Omber Crystal II X 3 = 82.5 Mil Isk
Difference about 75 mil (because somehow you need several diff. Crystals)
Now the big assumption, that you are good refiner and good seller,
so you sell omber in minerals for 3.35 M isk / 27.5k m3
Idealy with 3 Strip miner I this takes 28.3 min, with 3 SMII + CII, 24.3 min.
Or you make 138k Isk/min vs 118k Isk/min, then I neglect the difference in Hauling time.
With that difference, it would take you 3810 minutes to make 75 mil extra.
So in about 64 hour your investment could be payed back.
Don't forget there's is also an investment in skill training !!!

agreed strip miner II + crystalls are only to max out,
best way to go is large barge frist and when you have good refining skills go for tech II strip
tech II strip miner with tech I crys are 8% better with tech II 16%+- compared to strip I
so it will take very long until the 80 mill isk are payed back.
