Rufus Scheggia	Posted - 2005.07.23 12:06:00 - [1] Two days now that I can't log in, I start EVE and after the autentication the game doesn't load, I see only the small window with "logging in..." and nothing happens.. I'm the only one or is someone else in the same situation? Thanks in advance. Ruf
Spurgo	Posted - 2005.07.23 12:19:00 - [2] I am in the same situation, or a simmilar one...i need 10 mins to log into the game and when i jump in, i only have UBER lag evrywere and nothing seems to work for me, i also 've lost a ferox due to lag spike.
Miklas Laces	Posted - 2005.07.23 12:59:00 - [3] Same here, the "logging in" message and nothing happens most of the times. 1 out of 10 it would eventually reach the char selection, but it takes many minutes. But even then, the game is not playable. Incredible lag, connection lost, etc. Sounds like a network problem. But it is not related to my internet connection, which is great for other games and websites. BTW I'm from Italy, maybe you too ?

Ghandeka	Posted - 2005.07.23 13:14:00 - [5] Same here .. simply unable to log .... always get stuck at "GOT UNITS" ..cleaned cache directory, no difference. Lag problems started in-game yesterday .... gave up missions as being far too risky .... later on in the day, I _could_ log onto Eve but the lag was even worse ... Today it is just _impossible_ for me to simply connect. Tried a "tracert" to Tranquility server (157.157.139.10) .. some packet loss (10%) starting at Cable&Wireless Amsterdam? router (as0-dcr2.amd.cw.net) .. but much more worrying was a 10-15 minute spell of over 50% packet loss at the Tranquility server itself.
Ghandeka	Posted - 2005.07.23 13:24:00 - [6] Miklas / TruthKeeper I am in Malta (100Km south of Sicily/Sicilia), but looking at my tracert I seem to follow a route that looks like Malta, France, Amsterdam, London -- mainly all Cable&Wireless (cw.net) all the way.

The "Logging In" window runs through the authenticiation process, then connection to eve stops in the "Got Units" section. Checking ZoneAlarm, no data was being passed by Eve, then after 15 minutes client restarts with an error message "Server Connection Lost" ... Btw hi Ghandeka, didnt know any other maltese person knew about this game lol

Anyway last time that I logged in I was in 0.0, 20-EEW System and my people and places was empty instead of full of BMs as always, the program was unable to load my locations. Ruf

All beguns two days ago: it requiered 20 minutes to log in and after that, I was in a lagging universe and continuously crashing. Current situation: i can't log in,"Logging in" windows appear, but nothing happens!

The strange thing is the 2 last days, very hard and long to log in (approx 20 mins waiting), and today, the EVE Site load very very very slowly, and the log interface go only to GOT UNITS....after 15 mins a window appear and say "connection to server lost". This after DT. Please help, my provider say the problem is not in Italy. A useful info is the provider of anyone have this problem, for a fast (?) solution.... INFO: my provider is Telecom (Alice640 contract) REMEMBER AESCorporation, the First All Italian Corp. in EVE...fan since 2000 ! Skuregyon: Property of Shinra !

My traceroute stops after "62.153.203.190", which is just 1 hop from EVE's server. Ulthar	Posted - 2005.07.23 20:08:00 - [15] I'm in the U.S. and getting similar problems. I logged on fine, then appeared to CTD. When I went to log back in I noticed teh servers had just as many people on them (10,663) as when I first logged on. However, after authenticating on the login it closed the connection. I checked my account and everything looked good to go, so I tried logging in again, again it closed the connection. Same number of players logged on. I cleared cache, same result. I get the server OK message on the client but I haven't seen the number of players online change at all, I wonder if something is limiting that right now? Or if it is just a coinidence or my client not reading the information correctly? And yes, this forum is lagging horribly for me. Adopt a Paramilitary today! Support your patriots!

Just great I already lost 2 hours on skill training, something that seems to be a regular thing of late not able to game properly >=(. Forums and some other stuff load quite slow for me. Earlier today everything was fine except for the part where I got stuck in oursulaert before downtime but that was over after downtime. I am btw from the Netherlands not from Italy.

shaolinp	Posted - 2005.07.23 20:16:00 - [19] darn it . if i told them once, i told them a thousand times stop buying/routing at the cheap places. just because you can buy clothes at 5.00 the limit stores and everything else at the .99 cents or less stores dont mean you have to get your equipment/have signals routed thru .99 cents connections -r- us places sorta wish this happened this morning when my ship got blown up traveling thru 0.0 ;)

I even deleted eve and re-installed it, didn't do a d*mn thing, still get connection closed or can't connect to server.

Amiga A4000	Posted - 2005.07.23 22:19:00 - [26] To help CCP run ping plotter (freeware) program and set it to trace to 157.157.139.10 and set it to run at 1 minute intervals for 61 runs and statistics to include 61 intervals. Then take a screenshot of the results (it's built into the paid version don't know about the freeware) and send to CCP. If you are always experiencing packet loss at the same addresses then there is obviously something wrong with those routers and that is something that CCP will be able to look into. Don't try to be a great man, just be a man and let history make it's own judgements.
