y even start this is clearly just gonna be flaime bait oh god i only read the first page and the Imp guy saying they owned [5]5 made me cringe why must these morons need to stroke there egos thats y i cant stand imp anymore i know the [5]5 have alot of egotistical guys too but its not half as bad.
Also on a further note my list would be:
[5] because they have the most soly pvp orintated corps just like the CA used to which put it ahead of imp.
FIX-just my experiance fighting them tells me they can get together numbers and actually use them nowadays
BoB/MC ive heard alot about these but never faught either so i couldnt say who was better.

BoB - Cause they are uber. Fought with them and against them.
G - Apart from a humungous lack of will to fight at times, they know the numbers and the stuff.
FIX - Fix used to be ****, but then they fought RKK/BNC for a bit and just like... improved.

as many ppl do here i wont mention G as my own alliance.
Bob - Good Fighter, clean local. I do not like their tactics but i dont have too. We had many nice fights, always an expirence to fight Bob, I do repesct Bob pretty much, most of them are nice ppl to fight against.
5 - Also Good Fighters, no clean local. U guys should realy start to bring some repsect for ur enemy as they do it for u. It wont help u if u smack the local while ur are the bigger fleet. So calm down a bit start to show the deserved respect to ur enemies and ull earn respect from more ppl. This would bring more fun to your enemies and thats what its about, having fun.
Iron - Never fought realy, but been with these guys often and its always a pleasuere. Other alliances should stop to think Iron is G little brother we are allies.
MC to mention as a good PVP empire ganking force. Clean and good fights.

I donŠt mention my own alliance, as for sure is number 1, in my own dream world... 
1) BoB
2) [5]
For having the numbers, the will to fight, strategys and the experience for pvp...but [5] sometimes just a bit lame for smacking in local, we are all playing the game for fun, not for insulting each other...
3) IRON
If there is a alarming and a enemy fleet comes up north, they are very fast in merging their members and it is slowly a blind arrangement that we meet to engage enemy forces...it makes fun to fight with em and we know that IRON are experienced and that they are some good pvp-ers, ready to fight for their home.
SE/FIX didnŠt fight em in last months, I m knowing from last year when fighting with Xetic against SE, that SE are some good Fighters...
All other Alliances and so called empire alliances: "U SUCK" - come on u just take away the server resources we could need for having a good fleet fight... 
Except of the MCs...nice fighters...

i read all posts and find some quite amuazing,
i have been with atuk for over a year and worked with bob and stain on more then a few times, i can say that leader ship is well amazing, bizzar, mole, stan, thol, script, aeryn sun /me claps hands, and now in 5 i see more greats like chow lallante etc etc,
i have fought against Gimp, FA and a small amount of pa (as we could not find any). but i must say Fix has to be one of the most fun aliance ingame as there need for defending there space is unrivled.. for example i have run "small ops" down there and u have to race from a2 to 9c with out being blobbed to death wich is all good fun.. even suprised me one time and got my ass handed to me,
its true that the old cfs crue has come a long way to make fix,, cfs was a joke tbh i can tell you this cuase thats were i started life in eve.
speaking with cuegar one as i used to work with him in and around cfs days even tho we are enemys still very polite and it has to be respected.
to the mc guys i am sorry cant comment as i have never worked with or against u.
so to stop me keep babbling
bob-5 <--- shear staying power and swift movment of forces
stain-fix <---- all that fun over the stations, the bold almost turned blue over that. :-)
i am not to sure to to put in 3rd as joint first and second pritty much covers the hole universe :-p

My own little list is slightly different.
CVA (Pie) is basically alone on my respected list. There's too many ****s in the world, CVA didn't have very many.
Five is deffinatly on top of my non-MC top list, this is mostly thanks to my experience WITH ATUK.
BoB is also high/on top.
FoE is on top of my best opponent list.
Xetic will always have my love, but it is limited to the corporations who truely mattered for the continuation of Xetic - X-Traders highest of them all. Don't take any guess on this one, there's some surprising choices behind this that an outsider won't have a chance of knowing.

It's hard to decide who's the top when you don't have first hand experience with or against everyone in game. I agree with what most people have said and this was quite an enjoyable read. Let's not worry about who's the best right now as most of the eve community have built relationships one way or another and the balance of power could shift at any given time. But let's continue the fighting, for those that don't, keep local clean and keep having fun. For myself and most of you it's the only part of the game we really enjoy. Game on!

I can only truly gauge who we have fought or have fought along side recently and there have only really been a few. But currently the list would include:
1.FIX
2.ASCN
3.RA
4.SMASH
FIX simply has better organization then anyone else we fought and the willingness to stay fighting til either the situation was roslved or the war was won. They had great turnouts and their ability as a group to work together is something that all alliances need to conform to.
ASCN we fought the longest the campaign in faythabolis was by far the best i have ever fought . They have great leadership and very good, yet underated pilots. Alot of people like to catagorize then as mainly industrial but they have alot pvpers and are a great and versatile group.
RA for the first time in my eve life were our allies and they are by far some of the best pvpers i have ever flown with. They play a winner takes all game style which is basically the way i wish everyone played. They play with a either you ass or mine mentality which is insane and as allies if you call for them, no worries they come and they come running.
SMASH never had hugh numbers but when it came to small group combat they were on it. People tend to want to flame then but they were good at what they did and did it how and when they wanted to.
There are other mentions Like the 5, BOB, IMP, MC, G/IRON. These are powerhouse alliances that everyone knows of or has heard of at some point in time or another and i think they have been mentioned enought times in this thread for people to know who they are and what they are about. Being in SE i wont say anything about it other then it is changing ALOT, and we are redefining what Stain will be about.
To the other alliances i have no idea, either never fought or have no opinion of you other then by the reputations other people have given you.
