I just exhausted the missions I could get from the tutorial agent. She pointed me to one working for the Caldari state, and I did 5-6 missions for him, before he stopped offering me more.
I haven't quite figured out the agent system yet but -
Are agents nested together per NPC organisation/corp? Does it work so that if I start doing missions for a -20 quality agent in a specific NPC organisation, I'll eventually get access to higher level agents in that organisation? Or will I be referred to agents in other orgs?
Does it matter which agent I choose to work from, or can I just choose one at random and be ok.

The social connection skills are division-specific. Is it a good idea to specialise and primarily do missions for agents in specific divisions?
Does different agents give different rewards, in a systematic way that's important to be aware of?
It's not clear to me what the difference between an agent's quality and level is. This might be explained in the official player's guide but that one is under www.eve-online.com and unavailable to me.

there is a sticky at the top of this forum called mission resources and guides, have a look in there as it contains lots of useful info which will answer alot of your questions. |

I managed to get into the official player guide now, and that certainly helped alot :-)

kill mission builds faster standings, but pay a lot less, courier missions pay more but slower standing increase.

you can start with any corp that has a agent available for you to use.

yes
you can also get the connections skill to speed this up. your quaility level that the agent has also increases as you build your social skills, and standings with the agent.
so after a while that quality level -20 will be a -10. or a QL 20 can be a 30.
try and work with a corp in the area you plan to do lots of refining at. As you build standing you can get better results from refining from that corp's refinery.
