str 144
arm 150 (70/10/25/35)
shi 50 (00/60/40/20)
even with 0 range with a large named smartbomb (300 dmg) how are you supposed to "One Shot" it sorry?

afaik you cant unless you use an officer one :)

Well its clear that large smartbombs will no longer pop a pod in one hit whatever type u use which is a fact which has only come to light since the patch and there has been no menetion of this increase in the hps and resistances of pods in the patch notes unless someone knows different.Its disappointing to once again have to find out about these nerfs through trial and error and even the gms r unaware of this matter according to the replys that i received to my petitions

Read my previous post and check out the 800 pods i popped with one activation of a large smartbomb
I have even been killed myself with a smartbomb in one activation prior to this latest patch

Ok, for something constructive. I would say use the test server, but since you cannot pod there you are mostly out of luck.
Get a trial account going on TQ, run two accounts on the same PC. IIRC you are the CEO of OctoberSnow corp, so accepting a new member shoulnd't be too hard. Find a quiet corner of space and try podding the pod with various smarties. I am sure the community would value that sort of input, rather than you spanning petitions and running crying to mummy when it doesn't work the way you wanted.
For the record though, see if skills affect the pods shield/armour/structure. Since that with resistances,that would push it out of the 300 damage made by a smartbomb.

first of all dahin it was a 1vs1 (mega vs profecy)*lol*

the final blow in the kill mail was with the smartbomb....
Ginger Magician [SNOWY] lands a hit on you which glances off, causing no real damage. - and that hit is on my pod!!!!!
and ginger if i remember right you said something like: "OMG OMG OMG, my smartbomd is buged" and i have to say: "OMG OMG OMG, the smartbomd wasn't buged!!!"
after the fight man you asked me if i could probably win in this, and i say that: "i didn't say that i can win in this but it was just fun" and as i see it now i know that i won in the forums!!!

I have to say, I have killed pods in 1 hit of a large SB before, I've also got a video a mate made where he does it too.
If you have a look at this fraps I made you can see me pop pods with 1 SB hit (I do have two on but you have to watch when they activate and when two are active):

EM: 0%
Explosive: 60%
Kinetic: 40%
Thermal: 20%
Armor - 137 hp
EM: 70%
Explosive: 10%
Kinetic: 25%
Thermal: 35%
Structure - 132 hp
No resistances
Effect of 300 hp named Explosive:
- First 95 hp kills shields
- Next 152 hp kills armour
- Last 53 hp reduces structure to 79 hp
Kill shot - remember that damage, explosive in particular, can penetrate shield to strike armour, and penetrate armour to strike structure, when little remains. eg - taking hull damage in a ship when down to 15% armour.
Effect of 300 hp named Thermal:
- First 71 hp kills shields
- Next 210 hp kills armour
- Last 19 hp reduces structure to 113 hp
Kill shot.
Effect of 300 hp named Kinetic:
- First 95 hp kills shields
- Next 183 hp kills armour
- Last 22 hp reduces structure to 110 hp
Kill shot.
Effect of 300 hp named EM:
- First 57 hp kills shields
- 456 hp required to kill armour (Only 300 available)
No kill - half armour.
So basically, if you want to guarantee a kill shot on a pod with a smartbomb, anything but EM should do the job unless you are very unlucky. Large 'Notos' 4tw.

strangely enough i've killed pods with 1 hit of a named EMP smartbomb pre-patch. with a thermal aswell. so if the EMP doesnt 1hit kill now it means there was a small stealth change. another reason might be the pilot having armor HP implants...

The simple fact is that priot to the patch pods had a total hps ot around 150-170
and as has been posted here they now have in excess of 300 hps and as the max damage of a large named smartbomb of any type is 300 it is quite impossible to pop a pod in one activation.

Nope, from memory, shield and armour are exactly the same as they were a year ago. Structure may have been beefed up slightly, but if using named explosive, there's a good chance the damage will penetrate the armour and toast the structure. Any ship at half armour and no structure is a dead ship.
