Today we expereinced yet more issues with Tranquility. TQ was down for a length of time and is now in the process of returning to service. We are investigating the causes of TQ's recent instability and working on resolutions.

Has the management discussed giving every player a free day for repeated server troubles since the Cold War patch?
I know this has happened in the past. ============ ============ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein (1879-1955) |

Almost certainly they will have discussed it, but I doubt they'll plan on making any final decision until all these troubles are over.
They aren't yet

Please tell oveur that if he wants to encourage people to read the MotD on the logon screen, he could try having that MotD shown if people are using networkAdvanced=1.
Telling people to look at the MotD that isnt there isnt helping.

Personally I saw it more of an insult than any form of compensation. My reasoning is this. A lot of people have either done the subscription thing, or auto-debit. Basically you continue to get charged until you say I've had enough, or your subscription runs out. Either way, what good is another day when you cancel your account which is the only time you would see it show up when paying even monthly? I dont pay per day to play where I could see some value so therefore it is of no value to receive an extra day for subscription accounts.
It could benefit anyone on a trial account, but does not help anyone else IMHO. It does not compensate for lost skill time, isk, or ships which are tangible items in EVE (see EULA). Maybe crediting some skill time would be in order as compensation. And yes, I realize that it is just a game, but between the downtime and the Support Group "flushing the queue" of tickets, there is a legitimate Customer Care problem here.

mmm lets hope that if its old hardware they spend out on new servers etc to make the overall hardware run faster.

Of course, Oveur could also come back and tell you not to be hacking the config files to get to those hidden options in the first place

if you order chinese hamsters in bulks of 10000 at the time its cheaper then equipping them with fans.
