I'm buying 27%ers too, and I do pay the prices people charge in trade :-)
Don't expect me to give a large down payment to a 0.0 sec status pilot, residing in Stain and in a non-corp...as 'Joy Hope' asked me to do yesterday. Well briefly anyway, she closed convo when I questioned it and blocked me thereafter...

i can attest to Athule's honorable and professional business acumen, having done business with him recently.
And I concur with the original poster that the prices currently on he trade channel seem excessive to say the least...

If you think the prices are excessive you could always attempt to loot them yourself. Although it has taken me a week of nothing but hunting 20-50k pirate cruisers and have only found 2 25% expanders and no 27%. So either pay the price or find them yourself.

If you think prices for random loot drops should be comparable to the cost of a cruiser, more power to you.
I find it horribly disappointing that Eve's "player-run economy" has turned into a big $ rare drop phat l00t market like every other mmorpg out there, and I now feel justified blaming you for your part.

I can buy me another Rupture for 6 mil or 5.5 perhaps if I am patient enough. Still a guy is selling 250mm proto gausses at .. 15 mil a pop. Go figure.

they're very difficult to find...they greatly increase your ability to make money on a trade route in an indy...i don't understand why people are upset they are expensive? Sure, I wish i could buy 100 of them for 5k a piece, but i understand that isn't going to happen.
people are obviously paying those prices or they'd be dropping...
too bad reverse engineering isn't in ;)

If someone wants to pay me 1mil ISK for a bag of pretzels I'll sell you pretzels all day long. Why would I lower my price, regardless of the item, if that's what people (maybe not you, but others for sure) are paying?

umm, 15% - that's a basic cargo expander.
if you really need'em I'll gladly sell you all you need for 1mil each, heh, that's a 50% discount!!

I bought some this weekend off the Trade Channel and I do believe they were reasonable. Now I couldn't afford the 27%, but I did get 4 19.6% for 500k each, and I think that was fair. As there were some of the regular extenders (18%) on the market for 300-500K each. So I think I did fine with the extenders I did get.
You just have to wait on the Trade channel to see the best deals. There are many and a lot of differend deals there.
With the items I have bought on Trade, I have been very happy with the deals I have gotten. But that is just me.
