Finally trained up my Orca which I will be using for exploration. I have read up on it and even tried to research the following questions. For some reason it isn't working the way I thought it would.
Question: From reading it seemed I would be able to switch ships in the Maintenance Bay without having to eject. Or that I would be able to scoop ships with a pilot in it who would be automatically ejected. But for now the only way I have been able to do it is eject>Orca launches one ship while scooping the other>other pilot boards launched ship. Is there an easier way?
Question: I went to use the fleet fitting option. The fitting screen popped up but there was no way to select new items to fit with. Was this because the bays were empty at the time?
Question: How do you select the corporate hangar? It doesn't seem to be an option for a pilot in space. How do you transfer items to the hangar? From reading it seemed the CEO of my corp should be able to access the Orca corporate hangar at any time. If both are docked at the same station should someone with the correct permissions be able to access the Orca corporate hangar in station?
In general I am having issues accessing all the great features I have read about the Orca. I do not even see the option to access anything but the fitting service, and as I said above even that doesn't seem to work the way I have read about it. Help! This thread has so much content it may be 'Thread of the Year' and it is only January.

The other pilot (Not the Orca pilot) needs to open the ship maintainace in order to board a ship there.

Where did you store the items you wished to fit? Were they in the Orca/Fleet Hanger or the ship's own cargohold?

The Orca pilot decides who can access the Fleet Hanger and Ship fitting services. It's an option in the unified inventry. It can't be accessed by anyone, other than the pilot whilst docked.

Fleet up with someone and experiment with it. Mess around with the settings, see what happens.

The Vexor vexes me.
For question #2, having the modules in your cargo means you can drag and drop as usual. |

Bear in mind that the Orca cannot use the fitting service on itself. Only other fleeted ships can refit using your Orca. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

Thanks for the responses.
I realize that it isn't a one man ship that is why my alt pilots it. My main has been doing all the right clicking.
Couple of questions based on the responses. How does the other pilot open the ships maintenance bay in space? As I said I have right clicked on the Orca with my main and the only option I am seeing is fleet fitting.
Second, a mention was made of the unified inventory. Can you explain more? This thread has so much content it may be 'Thread of the Year' and it is only January.

In your orca pilots inventory sidebar there are little arrows that let you control whether fleet pilots can access the hanger and the bay, once set they stay set so bear it in mind if fleeting the orca pilot with less trustworthies. It needs to be set to give the menus to the other pilot.
I've used my orca pilot for this task, on the basis that I've got frigate, recon and a cruiser in it. In truth its probaby not as efficient as having 2 pilots both all-in-ones in different regions, or having 1 pilot in a t2 or t3 cruiser and one pilot in a covops continuing to scan ahead, but its nice if you intend going nowhere near a hub for a week. |

Okay, I have it figured out. I had to expand the cargo hold view as it was obscuring the toggles for fleet and corp.
Now I have a fully functional exploration Orca.
And permanent wood. This thread has so much content it may be 'Thread of the Year' and it is only January.
