So after hearing so much about the added benefits of running an alt I took advantage of the Start Sidekick account... So far he's just collecting dust training up skills. I'd like to ideally use him to run a second battleship for mission running to speed things up. After tinkering around with my speedpad and its hotkey program I am unable to get it setup right to work with multiple accounts.
So.......
Are there any free programs that someone could point me to so I can run 2 accounts wtihout having to screen flip? I'm just looking for something simple that I can use to move my ships to target area, lock a target with both craft, control weapons, tanking and drones without having to bounce back and forth between screens a lot. I get most of my game time while at work so the faster I can do things in game the better off I am.
I know I know this has been posted to death. However for some reason when I try to search for something along these lines I keep getting web page can't be displayed or some random thread list that has nothing to do with this. |

Isboxer has been discussed at length, and the definitive answer seems to be "it's Allowed".
However it clearly violates the EULA.
"3.You may not use your own or any third-party software, macros or other stored rapid keystrokes or other patterns of play that facilitate acquisition of items, currency, objects, character attributes, rank or status at an accelerated rate when compared with ordinary Game play."
Seems clear that if you are using it to facilitate faster acquisition of items, it shouldn't be a grey area, it should be a breach of the EULA.
However, in the interest of facilitating CCP making more money, the rules seem to bend around it...

Confirming that it's allowed. I know two players that use it.
I don't necessarily agree with it, but I don't write the rules.

It's not illegal, as long as you are not caught.
Technically, EULA can be used for anything, and if not, they just re-write it to make it happen anyways. How much they enforce it or not... >> "We want PvE activities to require active participation and mirror PvP more closely." Including NPC EWAR getting the stacking penalty? Would be awesome to have a cap on how far they can reduce my lock range (not 10km from 100 in a BS) or optimal+falloff with TD. |

What is accepted is replication of keystrokes, since you're still there controlling the action. Thiat just inputs the same commands on multiple clients at the same time. Once the program is making commands for you, you're deep in the dark gray area and will get into trouble if caught. |

What you are asking to do cannot be done with ISBoxer. You are, essentially, asking to automate a series of tasks for both accounts and that is not allowed.
ISBoxer copies key strokes over to the second account. So you still have to do everything yourself and it just copies it over.
At the end of the day, I would suggest not doing that either but it is up to you.

To clear the "confusion"
The highlighted text is where your going to run into a problem and likely end up getting banned if you aren't very, very careful.
To be specific about the "grey area"

3.You may not use your own or any third-party software, macros or other stored rapid keystrokes or other patterns of play that facilitate acquisition of items, currency, objects, character attributes, rank or status at an accelerated rate when compared with ordinary Game play.

That said, ISBoxer DOES NOT ACCELERATE RATE OF PLAY OR USE MACROS and so it is legal to use.
And to be clear, using a website and other "tools" to update 30 market orders per minute for 10-20 minutes at a time is what constitutes "accelerated rate" and gets you banned and starts a ****storm.
OP that was a very badly worded post.

Although isboxer is allowed, there seems to be a growing unease with many players about it being allowed. That is, maybe it would be better for the game of Eve if the rules were amended so its not allowed. Some of this is fueled by the 30 pilot fleets of ice miners all being flown by one player using these keystroke duplicators.
Hence, its becoming grey. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I run 3 accounts but i hate dualboxing, i just use them for different things.
On the first account I have a subcap pilot which only does pvp.
On the 2nd im running a capital pilot (with the goal of becoming supercap) and a Jita market alt, because of the high skill requirements it takes waay too long time to get into caps and fly all the popular pvp fleets with a single character.
On the 3rd account i have a industrial pilot which lives in a totally different place from the others and just farm passive isk.
So this is a example of what you can do without ever logging into more then 1 of the accounts at a time and the good thing is that if you want to downsize you can move characters together to one account once you are happy with their training. |

Senior GM Lelouch verified that software and hardware multiboxing is indeed legal in Eve in this forum reply to my eve-o thread:

Hello there,
To make a long story short, automation of gameplay is not permitted; players must be manually issuing the commands to control their character(s) at all times.
Our stance on programs such as Synergy and hardware/software combination such as the G15 keyboard is that they can be legitimately used as long as gameplay isn't automated. Synergy allows you to move your mouse cursor to multiple different monitors which are hooked up to different computers and we do not have any qualms with players using the program for this purpose. If Synergy was used in some way to control your accounts for you without a need for you to be at your keyboard, then that would not be allowed, but I am not aware of such a functionality with this program. If Synergy is used in conjunction with some other program to automate gameplay, it would not be permitted. G15 "macros" which allow you to group different commands into one keypress are allowed. For example, setting your G1 key to press F1, F2, F3 and so on for you with one key press is allowed (although this specific command is not as useful as it was before now that we have weapon grouping).
An exceedingly complex G15 macro which would effectively automate gameplay, such as mining, without a need for the player to be present at his keyboard would be against the EULA, regardless of whether the player utilizing said macro is sitting at his keyboard at the time!
Lastly, multiboxing is allowed, and programs designed for multiboxing in mind which allow a player to manually issue the same command to multiple game clients at the same time are allowed. In the same vein as what has been stated above, the player must be manually sending the commands; if a program is automating those commands for you, then it would be considered a breach of our EULA.
I hope this clears up this matter.
