We have 150 man "gang" (not in the same gang). Its about 45 IRON 40 G 35 NBSI and 25 PA. Know that doesnt add up.

If CCP didn't weant us to have massive fleet battles they'd probably A) cap the ammount of ppl per system, B) not make an epic space game.
People who pick up eve look at the box cover(ok so most ppl dont buy the box,but u know what i mean) imagine fleet battles, large intergalatic politics and being part of something large.
So ffs dont tell me ccp doesnt want fleet battles, or that fleet battles suck.

I don't know why you people are complaining, 50v50 can be / is laggy, is it any surprise that 300+ is the same?
What I would like, however, is a facility for fc's and / or nominated alliance / corp reps to notify CCP that a fight on that kind of scale is / might / will take place, so that extra resources can be assigned.
It's an idea that has been proposed before, the "battle servers".

Most of the time when ppl ask about the server capabilities, "yeah, our server can hold by far more than the usual numbers". It already is laggy when entering jita. UPGRADE THE SERVER!! WE KNOW YOU HAVE THE MONEY FOR IT!!!

The numbers were from what I gather, about 150 people (that jumped in) to our 90.
