Haven't really logged on in a while besides to change the skill queue, givin the price of plex, i don't feel like wasting my time running L4's or incursions, or even renting space to run forlorn hubs. pong is more entertaining that eve PvE. I've never done much PvP outside of being part of a null blob, and FW. My question is, how many iskies could i make in a month, just rolling around shooting at random people in low or null sec? pve isn't even worth logging in for, i'd like to avoid it at all costs. |

Good luck. Most people work for their isk. Your chance of making isk through PvP is minimal. Think of it this way...
First you have to find a fight you can win. Secondly, you have to win and hold the field long enough to loot. Thirdly, the loot mechanics must grant you decent drops of enemy mods.
On average, assume 1/3rd the value of what you kill drops. You then have to sell the loot and given you said nul and low sec, your markets are limited.
Either you will need to get lucky, be very skilled at picking fights and winning, or are better off buying plexes for cash from ccp or another legit source and selling in game.
PvP is usually viewed as fun, but not a way to make a fortune. |

Contract me your stuffs, I will use them for Great Justice.
Make your time!
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Titans on fire outside "The Alamo" of NOL-M9. I watched massive Super Capital fleets glitter in the dark near the BKG-Q2 gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... -á Time to die. |

Try offering PVP training courses, or offer your services as a pirate. I'm sure indy corps could see the point in hiring you to drive off griefer wardecs. |

Prolly not. Depending on the setup possibly. Need about a 1400dps omni tank, neut resistant for C4's.
Honestly for low activity solo, I'd go with a C1 with lowsec static. PPL will say C1's are crap. But they aren't bad. I lived solo in one for about 10 months.
C1 sites go real fast 7 min with a T1 BC. On average I'd say a C1 can generate about 400mil per week from the sites that spawn. I would log on, check. if a couple sites spawned, take 15min and clear them. I had a small army of PI alts, generating about 1.8 bil a month in coolant. I had a lowsec static, so on days that I had some time and the WH was empty I could roam whatever lowsec area I had for that particular day.
You can easily get by with a medium tower, so about 200mil in fuel costs per month.
Overall it was decent for a time when I didn't have extended periods of time that I could play |

I'd say join up with a group and, for funding - buy a GTC and sell PLEX as needed.
There are some who do this because they don't want to do PvE but enjoy the PvP.
Just decide what you want to try and give it a shot first. But if you do find you are running short on funds, go the GTC route. |

The answer used to be 'If you mostly gate camp you can make just enough to keep you in cheap ships'. The answer is currently 'nothing, except maybe in faction warfare'. Running around low/null on your own? Unlikely to get rich. Prob the opposite.
Ways to make ISK pvping in a corp:
- Mercenary. Challenging but reasonable income if you can get it.
- Pirate. Gank people in low /null and share the spoils. Organised groups might do payouts.
- Hi sec freighter ganking. Supposedly good but I've personally not done this.
- War decking for ransom or ganking High value ships for shiney loot. Tricky.
The bottom line is that now I have one of those annoying signatures. |

Ignoring all PVE activities still leaves you with LOTS of options.
In no particular order...
1. Industry related activities: You can make a lot of money if you do it outside of hi-sec. The big alliances need it quite a bit.
2. Suicide-Ganking (or other hi-sec ganking): Blow up carebears and hi-sec and make a profit.
3. Piracy: Get into low-sec PVP brawls, win, and collect the spoils of war.
4. Salvaging: Find someone's mission site or the aftermath of a large battle and try salvaging the remains.
5. Mercenary: Join a merc corp and work for hire.
6. Bounty hunting: Track down people with high bounties, then kill them
7. Manipulating markets/trade: I like to call this "Passive" PVP.
8. Create highly specialized characters, then sell them.
9. Use exploration to find cool stuff, then sell the location to people.
10. Scamming: Self explanatory, can either be really profitable or a waste of time.
11. Corporate theft: Also self explanatory, will certainly make it difficult for you to legitimately join a corp in the future though
12. Lotteries: Create one and make a profit, or get really lucky in joining one...just make sure it isn't a scam first....

I don't know about that . . .
How much does a "good scammer make"?
I know lots of PvE players that bring in around 1.2 Bil/hour (using 2 chars).
