I recently started using this for level 2 missions as well, have been using a Caracal for ages before I tried this one. My skills are quite low too but here's my setup:
3 250mm rails 1 75mm rail (grid limitations) 2 standard missiles (thermal/explosive)
10mn afterburner small shield booster medium shield extender passive kinetic shield hardener (dont have skills to use active)
tracking speed booster thingy (forgot name) magnetic stabiliser 2 cap relay thingies
Seems to work ok, using named where possible, and I have only about 50k points in gunnery. Uding plutonium ammo optimum is around 20km, anything gets closer and the launchers and drones make short work of them. Note that I don't use this on any drone missions, when I get one of those I switch to my Caracal with 5 rocket launchers

Oh ****, too late nm..
The Moa fittings on this forum are normally something like this:
high: some kind of 250/200mm railgun/launcher mix med: some kind of shield tank with or without ab/webifier/painter low: some kind of cap/powergrid module/hybrid damagemods
And you will also find copies of long range gank0r setups, what means lots of tracking stuff, sensor booster and damage mods.

Start with:
4 x 250mm Rails 2 x Assault/Heavy Launchers
1 x Med Shield Booster 2 x Shield Hardeners 1 x Cap Recharger
4 x Power Diags
This is a basic setup and can be toyed with to suit your needs better. For instance swap out the cap recharger for a boost amp or 1 power diag for a mag stab etc etc.

you also can play around with a 1600mm plate, repper and frigates guns.

Edited by: Morsasha on 31/07/2005 15:56:36 I use mine fer Level 3 missions np
2*250 Rails, 2*Dual 150 Rails, 2*Missile Launchers (Usually keep defenders in one)
T2 10 MN AB, Cap Bat II, 2* Cap Rechargers
A Good Armour Repairer, Adaptave nanoplating II, 400 Cristal Carbonate Plating, +10 Reactor output Mod
Is a good lil armour Tanker.. AM in the 250's and Iridium in the Duals lets ya hit at small missile range 20K... Some combat drones in the bay as well [I can only use light drones til Tommorow ; ]
Orbit yer targets at 20 K and tear em up....
May Take a few goes to get through the typical L III Solo... Keep a hull repairer in sys just incase ya need it ; ]

Why armour tanking? Surely shield better, it gets a bonus for it...

Honestly shaggy, I find most NPC Rat groups get through the shields quite fast especially on level 3's... even with specific resistance mods mounted.
The Armour tank is much more effective against all the NPC's with the armour's beter resistences at the get go (Especially EM) that also frees up yer mids fer some serious cap boosting, increase Mods, ass well as lettin ya throw in an AB ; ]

Cause sometimes its better to have the mids availiable for ew. But that applies for pvp usually ...

morsasha have a couple questions about your setup. Don't know the "lingo" yet to be honest, so need some clarification on just the one line:
"T2 10 MN AB, Cap Bat II, 2* Cap rechargers"
Hmmm whats dat then? Sorry if I'm being stooopid!

T2 10 MN AB = tech II 10mn (cruiser size) afterburner Cap Bat II = tech II medium capacitor battery cap rechargers = cap rechargers
PS try 4x 200mm rails, large shield extender, hardeners, 4x pdu and a medium shield booster ------------------ Remember that your Unique, like everyone else. |

Honestly... you have to brute force active tank it for either shields OR armor. The resistances are better for Armor and its a 4/4 setup mids to lows. Cap Rechargers > PDUs. You *need* speed and a web either way... why not armor tank it with a plate and a thermal hardner?
IMHO thats the only setup viable for tanking and doing multiple damage types. EM/Therm + Kin/Expl. in vast amounts with little skill involved. The bonus on MOA is crap. The slot loadout is nice. -------------------- The Nest

1. Sell Moa. 2. Buy Ferox.
The Moa is a baby Ferox in almost every way, so why not just go with the Ferox? If you can fly a cruiser you can get Cruiser III and Battlecruisers I in about a day.

30 mil vs 8 mil, though you should go ferox for lvl 3s
