Was talking to a friend yesterday about doing c3 wormholes and he offered to do them in oracles with 2 augs in support.
I am talking about amarr specced new(ish) characters. Basically 2 augurors + rapier + rest in oracles
http://gyazo.com/16bdd4c0007c00f57591d12245ddd3f6 (updated the rig)
I need to know why this would not work.
Dont tell me to get tengus, im looking for viable fits for amarr fw players.
Cheers! |

Imho too small ehp buffer. But you can always try it on test server. I am also curious about your results. |

I used an Oracle in C5's, fit for armor buffer, with links running. It worked out fine with a pair of guardians there for reps, though they really had to be on the ball, because it was damn squishy. Had to retire it for capital escalations though because if the carrier pilot wasn't paying attention for the slightest moment - POP goes the oracle.
I figure that if it worked in a C5, as long as you can get between 800 and 1000dps remote tank, and at least 1 1600mm plate + 2 EANM 2's + DCU, you will probably have enough buffer.

Edit - took a look at the fit you posted. No, do not use that. It is way too damn squishy. Use something like this: [Oracle, WH armor pulse] 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Damage Control II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Adaptive Nano Plating II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
10MN Afterburner II Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script Stasis Webifier II
Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L Mega Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency L

Swap mods for meta if you can't use the T2. It has 43k EHP with this fit, which is still low for WH's. Yours has about half of that... Way too damn squishy
If he is talking about pve the fit he posted is adequate enough, I agree that he needs more EHP, but to answer his question. yes, it would work vs sleepers. I dont think he is talking about pew here. If you get ganked while doing pve. You will not survive the alpha. But then again, on most ganks, no one does |

Yeah i ment C3s anomalies specifically, didn't want to use more buffer then i absolutely had, and just help with range/dps with support mods. Cheers for the 1600mm plate one. Will probably fit it first and move from there, wont use webs as will have a rapier in the gang. |

40-50K EHP would be good to give logi pilots time to react. The only time you might run into any bother at all with that setup in a C3 is if you have just 2 augurors and one of them takes full aggro on the last wave of the mag Forgotten Frontier Recursive Depot (kill the scram frigs quick). |

1 tornado 800mm + 1 osprey can take c3 anomalies no sweat. Not fast and you need to "jiggle" your ship a bit if the frigs get in close (with 2 tornados and 1 osprey it would be alot faster as you can just blapp frigs off each other as they get to close) 1 tornado+osprey can even take one of the c4 sites (normal no effect wormhole) its SLOOOOOW and if you fail your kite you die:P
Fun fact: 2 ospreys with capchain, 3 Med shield rr and ab can Permatank 5 sleeper BS, 4 sleeper sentry guns and 5 cruiser in a C4 anomalie ad infinitum at the same time (tested on sisi, left them orbiting each other, when i came back an hour later they were still happily buzzing around getting nuked hehe )
I guess all the t3 BC's would be of the same standard. /shrug

Yep, I've dualboxed a blaster Talos/Oneiros pair in C3s, works just fine although there are obviously more efficient ways- it was fun. Tracking link from Oneiros to Talos was pretty neat.

Wow kinky so tier 3 bcs in WH space might not be such a bad idea after all. Now to amass the minions and go fight the NPCs. For glory... And isk! |

as long as you dont have too many oracles i suppose it will work. your ehp is rather low so you will probebly want to put a rep on each so they got some base rep when dmg starts incomming. but it might work without. however, since the ships are fairly cheap it cant hurt too much to play around
other option is to start with more tank, see how easily the aug's can keep you up and that gradually start reducing the tank |

Max range beam oracles (Aurora ammo and lots of sebos) are actually viable in C3s.

This oracle dont go near 500 dps You want an Oracle ONLY for DPS, i don't really want it lowering size guns and losing weapon updrades

Been a long time but thought id spill the beans on current situation.
In the end best combos so far that iv found for 3-4 man c3 site running were 2 rr tengus as base. (me dualboxing), near 600 dps with fury, cap stable and cost less then 400 mil lol.
And now to the fun part... shield oracle with 70 k range and very respectable dps. And also an arty Loki with bout 450 dps and just enough alpha to instablap a frig, few webs and I believe we fitted a tp in there aswell.
Anyhow the 2 tengu reps keep everything alive, and rest supplements each other real well. Blapping smaller targets on approach and providing max dps on webbed painted targets.
Woop woop c3 anoms... lol, oh and having a buffer of 1 lse and 2 invulns provided more then enough on the oracle to keep it repped. Just have to pay attention to whos taking the aggro. |

2 tengus with TP should be around 6 or 7 minutes top (frigs always take longer, use t1 or faction misiles with them and both TPs per target) |
