Lol I remember that. My blood raider agent used to send me 10 jumps to kill a stupid frig. Can't believe I was so excited first time I got it.

* Ran through the tutorial missions and those of my first agent referral.
* Went rat hunting in my Velator with my more experienced friend, who showed me the ropes with combat.
* Went out on my own to a belt and sent my two scout drones at a ship and was WTFPWNED by Concord.
* Immediately learned how to distinguish between player names and NPC pirate names.

Got a better ship straight off the bat, joined a friend's corp, and then went to do lots of npc'ing in .5 and .6 sec space and mine, mine, and then mine some more. With some mission sending me 5 jumps to kill a few frigs and a cruiser, and belt hunting rats. Oh did i mention mine?
Unless you super specialize its really hard to get going now. You really need friends that will give you advice and a non-noob ship. Oh and learn how to use the scanner. Number 1 tool in pvp. -------------------

Bought first a probe and as soon as I could fly one and had enough isk to use one a hoarder and round day 6 a stabber.
Those were the days :)

I completely ignored the tutorial, managed 10 minutes later to find a stargate and use it.
I then travelled all over the damn place at random., eventually ending up somewhere in low-sec where I mined jaspet (because it looked pretty, and I assumed that meant it was uber rare).
After doing this for a day or so, refining the stuff and selling at whatever price the quick sell gave me, I realized I needed a corp.
Once again I travelled at random, not using the map at all, and especially not autopilot which I did not know existed. Defeating the odds I ended up in Luminaire where I was able to get my bearings and ask people what the hell I'm supposed to do. Then I joined Space Wolves.

After my first week I suddenly realised there was a thing called "skills" which could be trained.

I don't really remember any details, but I was mining in Amsen and spent the rest of the week browsing through the forums and item database looking at a huge pile of techno babble. I liked it, but I didn't like it when I discovered that you actually had to train the skills in order to advance, and that attributes were important! :]
So I started over, then I met my old CEO and joined a mining corp. Now I'm a self proclaimed pirate. :)

Hmm, that would be a few characters back now...
My friend and I worked our assess off to get into a pair of Punishers and decided that now we were all l33t we would go out and have some fun.
I attacked an NPC convoy about 100k from a station. The resulting fireworks must have dazzled my friend because he did the same thing a second later, despite what happened to my ship.
It was a long 100k back in our pods (we hadnt thought as far as warping out and warping back in by then we were still going 'WOOO lookit pwitty' at every new object in space)
Then we found out about a magical thing called in-sur-ance

Well first week being in beta. Over heard a convo in local about an amazing Dark Ochre ore in some system which i managed to get to, completly losing myself in the process. Mined there for a day refined it and due to a bug got about 10x the minerals i should have. The next day i realised you had to train skills and they then wiped the database so i never got to spend my money :p.

Tutorial agent missions and one or two of the next agent before I was sent on my first Lv1 Kill Mission, which I was too scared to try, so rejected. Mined to the hold of my Frigate and ran back and forth to the station (fun) before hooking up with a group with a hauler and being amazed when we made 75k ISK each, after about 2 hours of mining... Hunted 0.6 rats in my Tristan (with shield booster) because I thought I could be killed in 0.5 space...

I had my eye on a bestower that was on sale in my station for 550k and i thought that was an insane amount of isk.... just last week i gave a mate of mine my Raven bpo coz he made me laugh, things sure have changed in these last 2 years......

Ha ha that just sounds like what I did, first thing I did when I got out of the station was to shoot Concord, could not understand what the hell I did wrong so I undocked again, got shot again... then figured out that I just make a new one hench my nick "Arcticblue2" hehe.
Also did not train skills for the first 3 days as I did not knew about it, but I did start at "CAS" (noobcorp) and at the time we where a great bunch of guys there mining together, me in my noobship and even that there where guys there with cruisers we still shared 50%
Worked hard to get my Vexor cruiser (more than a week ofcourse) and only to loose it at a 0.1 system but with the insurance and all I could afford a Thorax instead.
Thing is I never forgot how much help I got as a noob so I always try and help out noobs if I can.

Went from Luminaire to Korama to sign up for ITCO. Mined myself a Fatman. Bought an afterburner in a 0.3 system. Got ganked one jump away by a Scorpion (later that Scorp pilot was seen in TunDraGon, I believe^^). Mined another Fatman. Snuck in and got my afterburner. Started mining for an Exequror, which I got duing the weekend of my second EVE week. Two weeks after that I had perfect fitting skills. And had lost my Exequoror to XpoHoc. And had gained a Thorax. -- If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please.

I started out in Cistuavert as a gallente miner char. Had read up a bit on the forums before i started so i figured the best way to make some isk and get bigger ships was to be a miner. Managed to close down my tutorial when the station bit started, and i couldn't get it back up again.
But i had learned how to mine so i started out in cistuavert with my trusty Velator and mined for 18 hours straight on my first day in EVE. Got myself a Imicus and the isk really started to flow in
After that i bought myself a Iteron mk2 and worked myself up to a thorax. And mined and mined.
