I think a new feature that some people would appreciate would be a fixed camera. That is, if you fix it to the backside of your ship, it will stay there. If you turn your ship, the camera would turn with it, always pointing at the backside of your ship.
I thought of this after constantly having to rotate the camera to point at my ship's butt when traveling many jumps. Perhaps have an option to enable it during autopilot.
It's a little feature that might not have much practical use, but would still be used by many for various reasons. |

Fixed angle views would be awesome, although my implementation would be find the angle that you want and then press something to fix it in that location until you toggle the view back to normal. |

Actually, I would not mind seeing the option to fix the camera so that you are looking at your target fixed through your ship.
That way you are fixed on your target with the perspective of your ship about 1/2 way between the target and the camera. Maybe another option in the overview next to the all seeing eye... you lock your camera on the target, same as "look at", but your ship is locked in the camera too as a pivot point. |

This is in the game as 'Tracking Camera: Toggle point camera to selected item'. It is bound to the 'Q' key by default. It is located under Shortcuts>Navigation, third up from the bottom of the list. |
