This thread is another reason why I am actually very surprised that goonswarm members at fanfest are never shot or beaten to death. I'm not sure I'd be able to hold back if I had been scammed out of 1.86b (or whatever the number was). I'd be breaking bones if I knew leadership was there.
Oh and if you're stupid enough to fall for the **** being said in this thread, you deserve to have your tears harvested. Goons are goons, they'll never be anything else. |

That's rather judgmental of you. I don't discard your opinion because you're a nameless alt in a high sec corp hiding behind additional layers of anonymity in order to throw barbs at our organization so why would you discard mine? I can't see where I've been any less than truthful in this thread. I kicked out offending members, as I said I would do. I'll be perfectly honest - with the nerf to technetium we just don't have the money we used to and our ability to fund SRP will always surpass the ability for us to show goodwill to New Eden. I'm not saying I'll never get reimbursements for the people that got scammed, but I'm saying that everyone needs to be patient.
I'm not an alt. lol You're a goon. A goon is never honest - if you don't like that reputation, you shouldn't have allowed goons to build it in the first place. |

Aryndel Vyst has spent a lot of his personal time and energy cleaning things up over there. Instead of bad-mouthing him, you should send him a donation in thanks along with an apology.
Goons don't spend personal time doing anything but acting like children, drinking and grieving. They never have and they likely never will. Chances are more than this is just another goon sponsored scam made to look legit. (like most of their other ones). I repeat: Once a goon, always a goon.
More likely than not, they're using this "kicking out people for bad behavior" as a cover for them moving the majority of their core into another alliance or temporary set up until said scam is completed. THAT sounds like something goons would do... why? Because that's something people like TEST would also do. ;) |

No, I wouldn't expect anything like that. If Goons are good at one thing, it's long drawn out and patient scams. It doesn't even need to be for assets - they could be harvesting stories which can be used later for all I know. I just know one thing: Goons simply are not honest people. None of them are and for them to just suddenly do a full 360 and become respectful is downright against their entire mentality as reddit kids who'll do anything for tears.

I violated at MOST one of those rules and just barely by using a first name which can be found within half a second using a simple google search. It sounds more like you just don't like people who say that a person is dishonorable and dishonest in a game and out. You have to have that little sociopathic streak to play the game like the goons do. I couldn't care less whether or not you like me or view my perspective on goons as valid or not. That's entirely meaningless to me given my experience with goons.
Oh and this isn't an NPC alt. Sorry to burst your bubble. Feel free to pledge all bounties right onto this toon; I'm sure they'll be collected eventually.
Point is: The dude died. Had he not been a total douchebag to the general player base and shown signs of being entirely dishonest I'd probably care that he had passed more than I do. But he was in fact a very dishonest person in game, a very malicious person in game and was part of the goons which are very well known for being dishonorable inside and out of eve and among several other gaming communities. (not to mention reddit lol) - I'll give them sympathy when they stop being nothing but douchebags that live on the suffering of others.
Now feel free to go ahead and delete this too, ISD. I know you will just to try and hide an opinion that you don't like. It's pretty common of GMs and GM Aides that condone extremely bad behavior in games then ***** and moan when that behavior is pointed out. Cheers! :D |

That is actually something CCP condones quite readily by promoting behavior like that shown by goonswarm. The ENTIRE concept of "tear collection" is literally making the gameplay of others as bad as possible for your own enjoyment and then pushing it, insulting their ability to play the game based on their losses for further "tear collection".
So actually CCP LOVES that kind of behavior and tells you to what... HTFU? Just saying. Hypocrites are pretty easy to spot, especially when they make the rules then break them quite often. |
