Isn't that a little too much? Megathrons are becoming a common sight in EVE...

Too much? With the roid respawn problem the price of megacyte has sky-rocketed. It costs around 70M to make a top tier battleship based on npc prices and pe 5. Perhaps you want people to mine 70M in minerals for you, buy up some megacyte and not turn a profit toward recovering the cost of the BP, be it copy or otherwise? Why would anyone want to spend the time to build battleships and sell them at cutthroat prices if they can already do that for much less effort and investment with a cruiser?

I dont see any reason why people are complaining about asteriod spawning time. Maybe people just dont explore much? GO out in Outer Ring and mine Dark orche. Amy

You won't be getting very much megacyte from the dark ochre, I'm afraid.
Edit: Oh, that's a tad (35M) cheaper now.

To produce a megathron it costs 66,184,607isk (base no research/effiency) at npc market sell prices. However you can also sell all those minerals to players for 1.5x the value (very high demand for minerals and yes they do sell).
So the real production cost of a megathrone is infact 99,276,910isk. This is why most megathrones sell for 120mil for a 20% markup.
Either the above seller has the BP well researched coupled with good production effiency or he slept through economics 101. In anycase the above price is a steal so I won't complain.
This is also why most corps do BYOM as quoting a real price of 120mil to 140mil will scare away most buyers. Not to mention you can't do it with people destorying the BB market already.

the market has truely gone to hell in a handbasket. i started this thread at 140 mil...then 135 mil...then i saw several megathrons on the market at 105 in luminaire. i'm sure in a couple days (if not already), they'll be down to cost. so just wait a few days. there is little point in buying blueprints anymore, everyone who has them simply sells everything at or very near cost (my corporation included). the market was much nicer when no one had access to factories ;)
