From what I know this isn't an issue. The issue was that most cities don't have a decent enough overseas link to sustain the amount of subscribers CCP is predicting.

First of all, I m a Chinese, who do love this game, although I m still a trial player. I really wanna join you guys into this amazing galaxy on TQ. However, I 'd like to show you guys why I feel so happy when I heard of that a Chinese server will be set in China. Two reasons as following:
1) PAYMENT ---- till now I could not find a better way to pay for the fee of playing on TQ. If I m wrong plz let me know.
2) LAG ---- which almost kill me every time I select command. it does depress me too much
Yes, I love language barrier as well, which makes me feel I m living in a real galaxy. If there is a stargate that could warp my payment and internet data to TQ, I will feel very exciting to join you all.
Plz Show me that CCP

Hello, I am one China play the family, actually we also very hope only keeps this unifies EVE the world. Does not hope China alone opens the server, but after all English is not our mother tongue, in the game, we has the massive languages barrier. EVE is the good game, after hopes China opens didn't must exist outside what hangs and so on, did not must have proxy practices level company exists. Sorry, my English is not specially good, therefore said possibly is not very understands, finally, hopes EVE is even better!

the single world while separating game data on servers all over the world and sync with less delay, dream? reality? distributing computing? All the human has the only one real universe.I hate some people getting an virtual universe while others getting the other,though I am from China.

The answer to this question is in the dev blogs.... from what i remember, there will be a special shard for Asia(namely China) because of political/censorship reasons...
But if you really want to know, read the dev blogs it's the first information source out there about Eve!:)
