Looking for alternatives, but as Im skilled in shield tanking and missiles the only other possible Battlecruiser is the Cyclone. Unfortunately that one is messed up with 5 launchers and 2 turrets, so thats not an option. Only thing that remains is to stop flying battlecruisers I guess, as I really like missiles over guns. And stop using heavy missiles. Maybe upgrade to a frigate?

It puts out decent DPS with ANY damage type, is the only non-drone BC to maintain TWO utility highs, and can sport a nasty ASB tank thanks to its rep bonus.

I have yet to fly a battlecruiser as I feel that my skills aren't quite where they should be to realize the ship class advantages. I understand the Prophecy is in a good spot now, but I have heard very little about the Harbinger. Is the Harbinger still considered mediocre in comparison to the other BCs? Or is it considered more desirable now? I have been putting a lot of emphasis into maxing my medium energy turret skills, and I would be dissapointed to realize I would be much better off sinking time into drones and another weapon system to competently fly a Prophecy due to the Harbs continued ineptitude.

As a new pilot, we're kind of stuck on the same path for awhile if you want to get the most out of the ships you're flying. I chose Caldari/Missiles too, and HATE the Drake. One of the dumbest looking ships in the game, I can't stand flying it...and it looks even dumber now with the way the launchers are placed on the hull. 3d training for a Cyclone? Sign me up.

I mean not as a solo fighter obviously. It shows 636 dps with all 5s and t2 missiles. I think it could be a nice support ship - 1860 speed heated and tanks pretty good as long as you have boosters. Of course the drake is still one of the better bc's :)

Theres no reason why Harbs arent viable without an injector, heck you can run the Guns/Point/MWD for like 3 and a half minutes, thats more than enough.

Sure it is, Fit a nos and don't engage anything where you have to fight of too many neuts ^^ (Although of course a NOS doesn't actually fit with HPL and a 1600 plate :P) Beyond Divinity Recruitment is open!

No real DPS (lol popguns) but it can tank a DPS cruiser with one MAR, and 2 more with the MAAR, and still has full tackle, cap injector, and 80K EHP buffer, plus as much DPS as the old Prophecy (ie; not much). Active tank bait instead of a dual plate slug. Or drop the 1600 plate for another DDA and medium guns. Cyclone you can do a dual prop armour cyclone (think upsized Flabber), a 100MN variant, a XLASB _ LSE buffer-rep variant, etc. The DPS is lower than the old buffer-gank Cyclone, so overall I don't like it quite so much. But the extra low slot makes it a viable armour BC. Taking submissions for "Trinkets friendly Advice Column" via evemail or private convo in-game. Prophecy is now the new and only armor BC really worth flying. That poor Harbinger. And the Cane getting beaten repeatedly. And oh look at the great active armor bonuses on the Myrm and Bru . . Meanwhile the Ferox and Cyclone have decent tanking bonuses and uses can be found for them. And then we are still left with a Drake as king of the hill. So disappointing. At least the Cruisers got buffed, and ever so slightly BCs (including the Drake for tank and range) got trimmed.

That's obviously not really viable. Harby is still fine within an armor gang. Personally I still like FMPL more, it has less tracking issue hitting frigs. And the medium neut? Pretty useful.

She puts out about 375dps. It was actually fun to use the Ferox on L3s, and a bit of a change from running boring L4s. I don't think I may ever use the Drake again. -Jaz
