had my thread which made sense, closed because of negativity and my approach to the topic.
so basically i was discussing the laser sounds, in my opinion , ccp has in essence ruined the way they sound , the old sound which I loved sounded better and sounded manly , it produced a deep bass sound through my headset and was one of the only reason i kept eve sound on.
the new laser sound, sounds too animated, like something you hear in an old school space shooting game, i.e "girly"
anyone feel this way?
it would be nice if it could be changed back to the way it was, now i just keep eve sound muted . |

haha yes. i personally use to enjoy turning everything on. it didnt bother me hearing laser, arty, acr, missles going off . i enjoyed it.
its like watching an action packed movie like rambo without sound, looks good but the overall feeling and look of it is decreased because there is no sound.
take that same film throw in sound and bam , you have yourself action. basically IN MY OPINION, sound creates emotion. |

This is really sad. CCP strictly redid sounds to get rid of the "EvE has sound?" joke. Yet, the new sounds (for practically everything) are so bad that I, and pretty much everyone else I know that still kept their sound on, caved in and turned it off permanently, They're that bad.
I know CCP worked hard on it so I almost feel bad saying that...but then I remember, we told them on the test server that they sounded bad, and they still got pushed out anyway in that derp CCP way. So, I don't feel bad at all in saying: most of the new sounds really, really suck =(. |

Have to agree on this, CCP made a real pigs ear of the sound

I envy you, being able to play with your camera zoomed in so far you can actually hear the firing sounds. I'm usually zoomed 10-15km out, even in frigs. Getting into a BS and I'm rarely closer in than 50km.
The only time I ever get close enough to a ship to hear a sound is when I'm undocking or when I'm specifically looking at an enemy ship to see what weapons they have fit (and generally then I'm in a cloaky and they aren't firing).
