The armarrian empire is currently without an emperor, I have heard no news on potential candidates.

Details on three of the candidates can be found here.
In addtion to these three are Yonis Ardishapur, who is a religious scholar, and an as yet unamed heir from the Sarum Family.
It would be very nice to see some sort of announcement from CCP as to when the selection process is going to get underway, and what it's rules are going to be this time around. |

Well I think something called "vacation" might have something to do with the delay.. don't know what it is but I've heard rumour about it.

Sorry for the OOC here, but isn't is a bit strange that the Amarr Empire have had 2 x world scale events from CCP while forgotten groups as the Caldari or Minmatar haven't had any grand scale elections / change in power yet or any real large scale event such as this? .....i wonder if we'll again have a championship as last time.... or what they will figure our this time..
Maybe most of the RP player base is against Amarr, because I doubt this is because of some favorisism from the Dev's side. Still... it would be fun to see some fiction towards Caldari and Minmatar, maybe we'll increase the RP from their side..
Know I gatejumped this one, didn't know where to pop this question really...or..well.. it is more an observation...... so eh.. just forget me typing this..

You know I'd like to hear something about the next phase of the gallente elections too..
Lots of events hanging over our heads, wonder how many weeks it'll be before anything happens

I wouldn't call the Colossus race a "grand scale election/change in power" (New World Order sort of, bla bla bla.. rant rant) event for the Caldarians. ;)
Colossus was though a very cool happening and very Caldarian.. I'm more looking for the big clash between Lai Dai and Kaalakiota, or why not Ishokune... get an Caldari vs. Gallente argument..

Colossus was though a very cool happening and very Caldarian.. I'm more looking for the big clash between Lai Dai, CDB, Hysayoda, Kaalakiota etc.. or why not drag Ishokune into it with their Jovian ties etc.... get an Caldari vs. Gallente argument.. whatever.. just get the Caldari / Minmatar some more internal to RP around to later join forces and RP against the other races..
The caldari dont have elections as they are controlled by megacorps which dont go by democratic elections, the minmatars tribal structure kind of allows for elections but that may be still forthcoming with hopefully karin midular dying in some painful manner.

We dont have time for weak NPC emporers. Lets make the craziest caligula-esque player emperor and give him complete control over the empire until someone kills him. THAT would be an event I'd not soon forget.

I think that fighting for a new Emperor lay ground to create new faction- and RP posibilities.. alliances.. allegances.. backstabbing and plotting.. Also lay a groud for later re-chartering faction maps within the Empire, creation of new bases and the rise of new agents..
Same with the Election, it creates a basis to change in the fiction and how things are viewed... Corps having new enemies and new alliances, and I'm talking about NPC corporations then.. new political angles.. also new markets, new owners and new agents..
I don't think a happening such as the Championship really could lay that basis, which it didn't..
..and we'll just have to wait for whatever is going on with Minmatar, probably some tribal split which can affect some also... hopefully.. 
I guess what I'm after is the rippling effects that are lasting... until next big change (assasinations anyone?)..

i would love to see this happen when the titans come out i would personnelly make it a prize for sum draw that only amarrians can enter.
here wat i thinking.
win prize = u get amarr TITAN and become amarr emperor - and if CCP can sum how imput it into the game allow him/(her maybe) to control the amarr military forces.
i know if i won minmitar would be destroyer once and for all mwahahahaha.
anyways theres my dreaming for today

With the rate of the Gallente Election, you should expect a minmatar event by mid December (2007) and a new emperor in time for the next Gallente election!
