Hello guys and girls
I have created my first wallpaper in Adobe Photoshop for the first time ever. And i created this when i was on my vacation and had some boring time, since i didn't have internet where i was.
Here you have the BMP picture (5MB)
Raven Navy Issue Wallpaper
And here you have the BMP file in a RAR file (630kb)
Raven Navy Issue Wallpaper (RAR File)
I hope you like the wallpaper

JPG @ 100% would be much smaller.
I like it, not so excited about the text on the top left though... maybe a version without the text for people who would prefer to add their own?
Very nice!

I know i can convert it to 100% quality JPG, but i have discovered that the colors on the Navy Raven will be crappier if i use JPG, so that's the reason i have the picture in BMP format

Edited by: NightmareX on 05/08/2005 11:51:18 Will there be any color difference between PNG format and BMP format?, since i know i get the right colors with BMP format. And i'm using the format with best colors / quality.
And TIO 101, no you wont borrow the ship heh.

PNG compression is lossless, so the image quality will be exactly the same as BMP.

PNG ftw!
Open format, very flexible, kicks JPG to the curb. One of my to-do list items for WDA is to switch them over to PNG because of the quality.
Actually here's a question, does the IGB support PNG? I haven't tested that.

Now as long as nobody puts it all together based on this thread, my top secret project shall remain so. :)

I have a font called "911 Porscha", I haven't tested it out, but just off the top of my head it strikes me as one that might work well. If you want, EVEmail me an e-mail address and I'll see if I can dig up the font file and e-mail it to you. ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ GDBT is recruiting! |

You could also try putting a simple white 'Outer Glow' on the Eve logo down the bottom, that should help to cover up the rough edges.
Then all you need to do is change the font up the top and Raven to a Megathron . |

Somehow the fact that the screenshot was mage against the light ruins it, you can't really see anything but a big black siuette with yellow windows...

I think that's the actual color, the Navy Issue is much darker than the standard Raven. ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ GDBT is recruiting! |

I'm not so good with Adobe Photoshop, so i don't know how i can do that, since the lowest black line with the big EVE Online text is copied from another picture. But if you or other peoples know how to change that, then please tell me

Assuming you have it on separate layer, select the layer, Layer->Effects. Think right-clicking in Layers window works too. ----- 42 |

The black area with the EVE Online text in is copied from another picture, so it's not a separate layer.
