I'll try to make this short, because the more effort I put into this, the more it'll get flamed.
P3EN-E, 20 Minutes ago;
I'm on my 3rd account, Feanor, in a cyclone (ya, i know, ****ty ship, but i'm bored). Enter 12-13 BYDI pilots. A couple BS, a few elite cruisers, the rest 'support'. Seargant S asks if I want a 1v1 in local. Thinking he was one of the elite cruisers, i declined and told him why. He assured me he was in a Rupture. I relog to fix a screen bug. I log back in, make a quick safe, gang invite him, and he tells me to warp to him. Surely he doesnt think that I'll do that, but he assures me that his mates won't fire on me.
I tell him its better for him to just warp to me since I'm the one with no friends in local. A few seconds later, he warps to me...In a MUNINN!!!
I'm dumbfounded, disappointed, and upset. Dumbfounded that someone in a 'high profile' corp like BYDI would do something like this with so many of his corp mates in local; dissapointed that I didnt get to fight a Rupture in my Cyclone; and judging by the things that BYDI was saying in local, they really don't care that this particular pilot completely dishonored the 1v1 system.
Ironically, I remember many posts by BYDI in the last 'what is honor' thread, but no matter what they say on here, you can rest assured that at the very least Tragar, TheJay, Amarr knight, senz, Tenebrion, Lachender Henker, and especially Seargant S should not be trusted, even if they give their word.
Seargant: Now you know why I was hesitant to warp to you; you're 'word' has no meaning now.
Tragar: If you didn't see that Seargant told me in local that he was in a Rupture, than maybe you need to keep local chatter to a minimum while you're on duty; or find a group of guys that will actually say to a guy like Seargant on voicecomm "dude, don't do it, thats not what honor is."
Ugluuk: I'd hope that you'll deal with this, and while I could have done a private convo with you to let you know what kind of pilots are in your ranks, it occured to me that the majority of your pilots thought it was funny, not thinking of the consequences.
So, I present to you: The consequences.

1 vs 1's are pointless anyway.
I've been asked a couple of times and I always refuse. Not for fear of being beaten but for a couple reasons
1) Hard to trust anyone in this game
2) I tend to use highly specialised fittings which mean a 1 vs 1 is generally not an option.
3) They tend to be highly boring affairs.

Yawn, for the amount of smack and harassing you did you deserved it, I didnt think you would accept as you said I was in a HAC, I said jokingly (at least in my view) that dude it was a rupture, you accepted, I said whatever, we went to wherever the hell you were at, you called me a f'ing****got warped off and continued to smack more

Form what I read you didn't agree to the 1on1 and he simply just warped to you and killed you 1 on 1. Your fault for accepting gang invite without agreeing to terms

Maybe the fact that Celtic refused our offer of help vs F-E..
We thought as far as 2 corp going the same direction..Why not team up for a while..
Celts refused and then you lost a deimos..Not our fault..

i was under the impression the +10 was arranged seeing as during that 10 minutes i had helped shoot a POS alongside BYDI, all appearing blue to me, we then headed back as a group to the Taisy gate talking friendly on local right up untill the BoB fleet jumped in.. wasnt till too late into the fight that someone said on TS 'You know the BYDI are shooting us too'.. Which i hadnt noticed as blue dont appear on my scanner when im out on ops...
Ill check with Sky Fox but im pretty sure we had agreed to cease hostilities..

btw, it was an educated guess that he was in a HAC. If i knew he was a HAC and agreed to a fight anyway, I would have stayed to fight. As it was my first time to ever fly a cyclone, I thought it best to warp away and flame you on the forums for being ****heads.
no matter. the issue is that he lied in local about his ship to bait me into a 1v1. you didnt believe me, but you're own pilots provided the log, which proved he was a liar. if you want to slide around the issue, go for it, but i won't be responding anymore if you do.

1v1s can happen with respectable groups of people.
I was in an Imperium gang in [5] space (alt here, of course), and the 15 of us were sitting outside a station right after coming into the system and killing a hauler or somesuch ship. While we were getting ready to leave, Alowishus (sp?) challenged the head honcho of the Imp gang to a 1v1, tempest vs tempest. He undocked, they fought, we all watched, Alowishus won, we let him warp off, and all was good, we left in a bunch of ships and one pod.
Certainly the exception doesn't disprove the rule, but some people can be trusted to honor a 1v1. Just don't expect it to happen with most of the smacktalking asshats that so permeate the PvP portion of this game. If someone smacks you hard, just wait out the logoff timer and leave, they aren't worth your time.
But if some respectable or popular corp accepts your 1v1 offer, or offers one to you, you should be OK.

I have had honourable 1v1s before... but usually me with friends in local, and i make sure they don't become involved. So my rule is, only have 1v1s where you are sure they can't play it unfair.

Your saying that he wasnt clear about the 1v1 rules, then you say it doesnt matter cause he was F-E and has no honor anyway. What the hell is it about honor? This is not startrek and we are not klinongs.
Baisically what happened was:
the guy asked him for a 1v1
He lied about his ship
the other guy logged
When he logged back in he didn't get confirmation or set out any rules
Knowing this, the guy warps to him and will use the fact that there were no clear rules as an excuse if anything was ever made of us
That Ug guy (ceo) know this but is saving face.
A bunch of alts are flaming the original guy.
A bunch of other guys are saying don't trust ppl.
The guy is annoyed.

In Future ex-fe, you feel upset by a 1v1, convo ugluuk and sort it out in game, bringing it to the local forums doesn't gain you any respect whatsoever.

Aye about the Celtic anarchy incident. I arranged a nap to blow up the f-e pos, never said anything about carrying it on :). When that was over the nap was over seems like sky fox didnt even realise what i said and agreed anyway \o/.
