Many times have I seen players post on here about gate campers, Station huggers, trash talkers, cheaters, cowards and don't forget the ones who say things like "you would not fight one on one" or " you had to out number us before you would fight" or my my favorite ...." I would have kicked your ass if I didn't have MWD's on" the list could go on and on but now for a small lesson:P
In the olden day real life Pirates would bravely take on any Merchant ship they came across and would sometimes even take on a Naval ship if the odds looked to be in the Pirates favor but would run like hell was kicking them in the ass if for one sec they thought they would lose.
The strongest Armies in history would not attack till they had some level of certainty they would win. Take the United States Military, it is the strongest, fastest, smartest, best paid, best fed, fighting machine the world has ever seen and do you know how they are being trained to fight ? Guerrilla warfare.
I would like to quote from a movie i just seen. it goes something like this ..."There are only two rules, what a Man can do and what a Man can't do"
well thats all I got to say about that. I hope you got something out of it cuz i'v never had good writing skills. just something I had been thinking about. it's all in fun :P

Yeah.. I see a lot of crap talk like "Ohh.. when we came with our 5 BS them cruisers ran like cowards". Of course.. why not retreat from certain defeat. I understand the frustration though. Hunting pirates is very very boring.
Only a fool do a battle with certain defeat. There is no loss of face to retreat from certain defeat, it is only stupid to waste recources when there is nothing to gain by doing it.
Only time you should do battle is when you have already won. When victory is certain.
However... nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of bargin in towards an uncertain faith :p
The only thing that really annoys me about "pirates" is all the tough talk and hootering in local chat when they smashed someone. I have met very few that was tough when they met experienced resitance. Even at fair odds, with same lvl of ship etc. Many "pirates" are just kids with guns (big guns tho :) and they are not very hot in a "fair" fight.
I will also take the opportunity to reclaim the word pirate. Most of them who claim to be pirates are not anyway near. Just blowing up random ships that are a lot smaller/weaker than yourself does not make you a pirate. I don't deny you the right to do it, but I'd be damned if I'd accept calling you pirates. ;)
(also.. Wu Tang is forgiven for what he said about the american armys greatness. The ruthless indoctrination from your gouvernement is hard to break free from. :)

Actually the best trained airforce in the world atm is the isreali,flighthours training and combat experience is by far superior,but its a much smaller forcce too.
Many forget the size issues in armies,compairing a small force army to a large one is not a great compairison.
Hell most of our states are larger then most european countries,so of course US is harder to run effectively then say Sweden,and slower to change as well.
