This post makes me look sane!!!! -------------------------- Good thing PVP pilots dont do that! They are "initiating strategic military plans of aggression". They are not logging off to avoid an overwhelming fight! |

Um, Cochise was never voted out of power.
At one point he stepped down, but there was never a vote to expel him. Wimbishi tried to seize power through a military coup, but didn't seem to realize that most of the navy commanders disliked him and not much of the navy was willing to follow him :p.

No, that is what guns are for.
There was an ancient Terran philosopher who said that war is an extension of diplomacy...
In our galaxy, Fix is napped with BoB and FA and they are at war with each other. BoB was napped with Fix and [5] while we were still fighting. Such a situation does not have to lead to a falling out, if the parties can work with it. On the other hand, Stain once went to war with Fix because we refused their allies (ATUK and Shinra, who were our enemies) the right to enter our space. This concludes the history lesson, which I concede may be biased or misinformed from my point of view...
War is one way of settling diplomatic disputes. But it is not the only way. And it only settles things to your advantage if you win...

Edited by: Eversor on 08/08/2005 18:34:20 My personal experience is that PA is probably more Democratic now than a year ago, the PA council votes on all major issues, with lesser decisions decided by core diplomats and military commanders. As with all democracies its a slow and clumsy system and sometimes doesn't satisfy everyone, but a good fair compromise is usually reached. There are very fair and honorable people in the council, Anihilus and Christophoros being two of the ones I respect the most for their open mindness in solving issues.
Anyway...
I swear the initiator of this thread sounds, errr.... reads very similar to another well-known anti-PA forum rable rouser.

I like the title of the thread. After all we are the Phoenix. It's our job to die and be re-born. PA is dead, long live the PA.
There is not much to comment about the issue. At the end we have the same friends and allies as before and Xelas is living happily with BoB. It's a little funny to say we caused this if the ground for it was not prepared.
I am very proud of the PA and how we decide our policies and more of how we implement them. Only problem lately is that many of our members are being drawn to the dark side of forum-posting but I hope it is a side-effect of summer :)

Ooh ooh - quick, before that gets out of hand there's excellent income to be had by fining forum posters for posting on the forums they pay for..
Oh - that's been done before.

Signed. Especialy in M corp there is an inquisition running regarding the eve-o forum posting. A lot of people lose the line between real life, and that EVE is a game. Humour, sarcasm are banned. Everyone should work and act like slave. No freedom to speak and say your opinion.
PS Yup alt's posting because of the inquisition. |

Forum posting is good as long as it isn't insulting and those who post and those who read it, understand that every individual is not expressing the views of a whole corp or alliance, unless specifically stated. Anyway my remark was meant to be humorous. It's no big deal.

Leave it to a Constantine to boldly declare me on "our side"
"Casual hostile states" shared by 2 alliances holding opposite ends of the map doesnt put me on "your side". .

What do you expect? Jade hates the PA, you shoot the PA, so in effect Halseth you ARE on their side whether you can stomach it or not.
Being someone who just recently rejoined the PA not long ago after being away from them for a year, why is it SE and PA shooting each other again?

What you are forgetting is that we are not actively hunting PA, we are protecting our own space. As far as I know, no Oberon vessel has ventured into PA controlled space since Oi seceeded (aside from the occaisional recloning of a MIA podpilot) and all kills/losses have been in SE controlled space. I do not speak for SE here, just from an Oberon point of view.
You attack Oi vessels. we respond end of. You attack SE vessels, we respond end of.
Are we on the same side as Jericho? I think not. Shooting at the same targets perhaps, but for different reasons be sure.

I'm holding my breath for that one. Should be any minute now. Swallowing a dictionary must take longer than it used to.

I thought about that before I posted. Fact of the matter is, Jasmine seems to be using words that noone has ever heard of before, so she must be swallowing a dictionary and not a thesaurus this time around.

Because, we all know what F-E has done to all of their old friends...
