I lost my cruiser last night because of splash damage to a mates drone from a targeted missile that destroyed a Gurista Despoiler. Concord warped in and destroyed my ship... No fair I thought. I did 10 hit points dmg to a mates drone and concord class me as an offender so give me a neg sec rating and destroy my ship. Admin admit they have a problem and the devs are trying to fix it but they said tough luck. My problem....is it hell ive cancelled my subscription and ill make a point of writing in a few forums and mags .....Admin on eve sucks they should support us not ignore us

bah. You lost your ship to a legitimate game mechanic that you knew was in place.

Now i know.....i didnt last night otherwise i wouldnt have used missiles! How can you say its legitimate .....ok yes splash damage should exist but against drones it shouldnt constitute an attack where the missile is targetted against a pirate

Soryy, was probably a little harsh. My point was that it is a known game mechanic. Missiles have splash damage, and if you damage a "friendly" you are classed as an agressor. I'm not trying to argue whether it is right or wrong, merely saying that is how it is, and was supposed to be (for the moment)
I personally think it is right, if somewhat harsh, and should be toned down a little. A bit of splash damage on a drone should not elicit such a response

why are you not pulling the pirate away from the mining op?
EDIT: wanted to add that would go for anything I suppose when drones are concerned. :)
