After some missions, I saw that the weak point of this ship is the low armor HP. After some resistance losses, I put this together:
4x Heavy pulse T2 2x Medium Knave Nos
1x Target painter 1x Webber 2x CR T2
1x Medium armor rep T2 3x RCU T2 1x 1600 Plate
4.737 armor and lowest armor resistance is thermal with 52%, the others are above 70%. Ö WTB True Sansha stuff. |

I'd rather go with an 800mm plate than gimp a setup that much with 3 RCU II's.

if you don't fit the RCU you'll be able to fit focused pulse. these guns are of no use on the ship though... unless you want to scratch some othere ships paint job.
the sac is about as boring as amarr ships can get.

I disagree. This ship can do both, shield and armor tank unlike other cruisers. Normally, I fly a Suckrilege setup:
3x Heavy Pulse T2 3x Medium Knave
1x 10MN AB T2 1x Webber 2x CR T2
1x Medium armor rep T2 1x Heat sink T2 1x Energized adaptive nano T2 1x Armor thermal hardener 1x RCU T2
This setup gives very strong resistances and I can suck more energy out of my target than 2x Heavy nos. The damage is not the best but its the best tank of its size. Ö WTB True Sansha stuff. |

yeah I know what you mean. I just don't like the mix of missile/turret/resistance bonuses the ship gets. I'd say drop the missile bonus and give it a dmg bonus to energy weapons. then I'll start using it.

I use a Sacrilege for lvl 3 missions. This is my setup, it works really well...
3 Heavy Pulse II 2 Arbalest Heavy Launchers 1 Arbalest Assault Launcher 1 Gist Small Shield 2 Active Shield Hardners, according to enemy 1 10mn Afterburner II 1 Medium or Small Armor Rep II 2 True Sansha Energized Armor Plates, according to enemy 1 Nanofiber 1 Warp Core Stabiliser This setup allows the ship to be used without fitting cap rechargers of any kind and the shield tank, for me, was only broken once on the Spy Stash mission's 2nd lvl.

OMG why o why would u shield and amror tank on the 1 ship, WHHHHYYYYYYY
Gah go 1 or other and if i could pilot a sac it would be armor tank all the way.
As regards ur statement of armor and shield tanking and the sac being the only 1 capable of doin both then maybe u should have a look at the vagabond sometime

dude 3 RCU? if u removed the 3 RCU and used damage mods, and switched the lasers to like Focused or Quad u would probably get better DPS, but i dont have a Sac ATM so im guessing Sig by Mr Floppyknickers |

Because of highest base resistance and highest cap recharge rate of all HAC the Sacrilege is the hardest ship to kill. It can easily do all level 3 missions, no matter what you fit.

I am only making comments regarding your low slots. If you are using 4 hardeners instead of the 3 RCU + 1 plate your resistance is 85% against all kinds of damage with t1 hardeners.
Imagine an enemy doing 100 damage: With 85% you take 15 damage. With 70% you take 30 damage. 85% resistance is two times less damage done to you. Two times less damage is two times less energy needed for you repper. With 52% you take 48 damage. That's 3 times more then 15...
If you are using your ship for missions you know what kind of damage your enemy will do. Blood Raiders and sanshas do em and thermal, guristas kin and thermal. Because of this you only need 3 hardeners to have 85% resistance against most enemies. You can use the fifth low slot for a weapon upgrade.

Excellent.
I love how people are so against this and can't see that the size of the shield on the sac is more of an asset to an armor tanker than not. the longer it takes to break that large cruiser shield the longer you got before armor is an issue and the small gisti is uber efficient and prolly barely touches cap in that ship
Glad to see someone else actually has the ballz to say so and or try it. didn't think about the small gisti myself.
If the ship can support it and has extra fitting and power available with uber recharge rate.
Go nuts. Sac or possibly nightmare are only 2 ships kinda capable of doing this.
Blend FTW.
I like just hardening the shield with one EM and one thermal hardener and just running them auto repeat till shields are gone. then turn them off when i turn on the armor ripper.
Buy's you so much more time before your armor ripper even is activated and barely even touches cap capacity.
And up until recently if you tried with t1 stuff in t1 ships you died miserably. But still amazes me people talk so sternly against it before they even try it.
LOL
I love the hypocracy of talking against something before actually trying it ingame because of say so or popular opinion. Everyone has an opinion but I wonder how many people actually tried it with that set up with that ship and actually tried it out for themself before letting their fingers do the walking.
I bet none. I just wish before people discredited anyones setup, they'd actually try it first. Otherwise don't even comment on it.
Can't wait for tech 3 ships and mods which will make this even better of an option and even more capable.
Great thinking on the gisti fit.

Um. I haven't tried the setup and I don't NPC much so I won't criticize it. That said the guy who posted this said he used this for lvl3 missions...
You can do lvl3 missions in a ship that costs half as much. I don't really think the gear used plus a sacrilege are eally being put to the test...

Common, you can do any l3 mission in a retribution. WTF would u need a sacralidge for? And it's OBVIOUSLY not being pushed very hard at all. Try lev 4 missions with it.

/vomit
though it has been hypothisized that the Sacrilege could both mount a fair sheild tank and armor tank ( either or , or at the same time), its best to let the caldari HAC sheild tank. as for the nanofiber....im not even going there
with my current armor tank setup i have 2600 cap with a charge rate of 76 seconds...which reminds me i need to get Cap charger IIs on there.
for the highs, rocket or assaults (named ) with defenders OR smartbombs OR medium nos. standard t2 lasers apply as needed.

Edited by: FraXy on 09/08/2005 00:58:56 Just checked thread since i want a Sac sometimes and noticed u had 2600 cap and 76 recharge rate...
How in tha world??
Sac with Cap Capacity 4 and Cap Recharge 5 got 1560/201 cap. To get a 76 recharge rate u need 5x cap recharger mods (CPR or recharger). To get 2600 cap i assume u need a Large and a Medium cap battery or 3x Medium T2 ones.
Or am i just getting very tired or u meant 1600 cap?
