I was looking for a guild/corp I could call home for more than a year now (in several MMOs). I think I found it. Gentec is one of a kind corporation in EvE. Its a socialist corp where teamwork for the better of the corp and all members as a whole is a cornerstone of our strength and unity. You will not find yourself hoarding hundreds of millions a day here, but this is not what EvE is about. Its about brotherhood of people you can trust and rely on. Only reason I ask is because I used to work in Pure Blind many months ago and I though that it's close. I left basically because corpmates were non-existant, and mining, hunting and pvping by yourself in 0.0 is not fun to say the least.
How many U.S. players (eastern and central zones) can I expect to find on average during weeknights vs. weekends?
The corporate leadership. All important for the proper day-to-day ops. What goals do you guys have for the corp that you can discuss publically, and is your CEO or leadership considered older? 30's or so?
I see your socialists so that means 100% of what I make goes to you, but in theory it means in theory anyway I should be able to lose BS left and right and not worry too much about it. Is that an accurate statement or are there some reasonable limits to this?
Do I go through EC-P8R to get to you guys? Ahhhh, the fond memories of blowing through the 25+ ship gate camps with loads of zydrine.
Are you guys pirate or anti-pirate?

Hello Spleenman. I'll try to answer all of your questions, though I recently joined myself You can probably say we are close to Pure Blind. However this is how we funtion. There are 2 corporations in Gentec. Gentec HQ corp which is a FIX applicant and is based in FIX space (so not Pure Blind) and Logicstics corp which is based in Empire and does low end mining, some construction and new members training. Most of PvP is in HQ.
We have several active US players on every night. I'd say 5-10, also there are people from all over the world that will be playing US time sometimes. Most of US activity is during 20:00-04:00 EvE time.
We have a very progressive and driven leadership. Things are getting done and Gentec is always going for the new hights. Logistics corp has mining operations every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday (separately for Euro and US time zones) which last 2+ hours. Also people organize their own little ops like low security hunting, mission running, complex running etc. PvP frig tournament is in making. About public goals, the main goal (from my point of view) is to make and keep Gentec strong while having fun, which works I might add. Production is a big part of Gentec and currently we are in the middle of large construction project which is to benefit all members and corp itself. Another goal is go get back to 0.0 space after leaving FSA (FIX applicants with 0.0 access already). Can't comment on age of our leadership, I have no idea.
We are a socialist corp, though I can't say that 100% of everything goes to the corp. We do however mine a lot for the corp which allows us to build ships and modules needed. So part of what you make goes to the corp and outside of ops you have time to make your own cash. Ships are sold to corp members for VERY low prices if you like to buy one. Ships lost on corp ops are replaced upon you returning ship insurance payout; so you can lose expensive ships. Only thing about losing ships is you might have problems getting another one of you lost yours in a stupid way; like staying behind when gang leader gave order to warp out, etc. Modules and ammo are free.
Can't comment on EC-P8R... Don't know much about 0.0 routs.

As for our ages, well I am the youngest (almost) at 23, Junder is 30 something, Marco is 40 something, and we even have Marcos uncle in the corp, so I wont go into how old he is (Sorry Lggi  )
Most of the officers and members are in their 20s, we also have some mature younger players, and some immature older ones ;)
I think Tecam answered most of the other questions, but I will go over it tonight to make sure.
Gtg now, I'm at work and am training up a new guy for an IT job.

Not really. PB is northwest yes? Derelik is Southwest, although the main corp which you would most likely be applying for is based in Querious and Catch atm, which is south by south-west

Well afaik, we have about 12-15 active US players, but at that time of night we have some late night Euros which pushs the number up to 15+ I think

Galactic domination, muhahaha
Short term though, growing bonds, expanding our core, having fun. We try to cater everyone in the corp, and whatever someone wants to do, we will make room for them. Gives us a mixed bag of pilots, but as long as we have fun, thats the main thing.

Basically true. Not everything goes to the corp, that is communist. We rather try to encourage people to help the corp out and become part of it, all helping each other, so the corp can help us. Any corp supplied ship you get via promotion, can be lost, and replaced for the cost of the 40% insurance. Any extra ships outside of the progression can be bought off the corp at pure production price, meaning the corp makes no money from them at all.

Heh, no, for the main corp we are atm based out of Querious, but we keep a base in Gehi, just outside, where we can provide you with BMs and whatnot to blaze through those camps
