Hi, do these guys respawn over time? Or do they simply wait until you've been in the belt for an x amount of time and then respawn?

Darnit, do you know any good pirate spawn places then? Because I'm sick of the low yields of deadspace training places, and I can take on good level pirates with my kestrel and missles. I found some imputors and invaders of guristas in some belts and I was hoping they respawn frequently...

If you're not in the newbie ship anymore, you're supposed to move out of 1.0 systems and go to some place more dangerous. Try a 0.5 system, the belt rats in there aren't as wimpy as the ones in the training complexes.
A lot of these lower security systems have a variety of pirate hideout spots, where you can find a higher concentration of worthy targets. Difficulty depends on the security rating of the system they're in, of course.

I tried a 0.4 system and found 3 rats at a belt. 2 were worth 8,000 isk apiece the other was worth 50,000 isk so I took them on with my missiles, 5 mediun drones and a 200mm gun. Sounds like a good way to get some isk.... Unfortunately the damage to my ship came to 58,000 isk but it was fun.

Why don't you find a level 1 Security or Internal Security agent and do some kill missions? Those are more fun than randomly hunting rats in the belts IMO.

Hey guys! I hope you know what the consequences of going beneath 0.5 security systems can mean? There might be Player Pirates . Keep an eye on local, chose your low sec area to npc in. Oh and make good cash!
I've heard there's more cash to make from npc-ing in low sec, then there is from doing lvl3's - some lvl4 agents these days. Lot's of 'named' rats/npc's/pirates (whatever u wanna call them) are spawning there!
Watch ur back

I am using my merlin in .6 sec space for about a day now. But anyway, about those pirate hideouts, are those on our scanners as "fugitive hideouts"? I know I have seen one before but I don't remember where it is.

Just look in your overview. And the kessie is probably the better ship to be hunting in. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

I use a Minmater Destroyer (Thrasher) and will usualy get a system range form 0.8 to 0.5 and just travel between all the asteroids. I ususaly find pirates (use the system scan to see the red dots). When the system scan tells me no more pirates in the system I jump to the next...
With the reprosessing and selling the stuff you get you can make 1m isk in 5 to 10 hours...
1- Ship and hull repaire is a must to minmise Repaire cost 2- Some sheild/armor tanking is also usefull
Then when you feel you have a ship good enough try out lvl 1/2 mission they are tough at times but worth the effort and when traveling make sure to stop at one or two roids to get a couple of rats on the o and back... Just make sure to do it within time reward if the reward is worth it (i.e. above 20k isk else at 5k isk a rat it is worth it to kill a few and miss the bonus)
