Not sure if this is the right place for this but i have been playing eve for some months now. Ever since i started i ahve had trouble seeing some of the different colours on here. Speaking in a channel the other night it seems i was i not alone. The reason for this is colour blindness. I am wondering exactly how many other players have/are suffering this disablement and are having a hard time with eve like me. What do other players think of this who do not have such an ailment? Should CP put in an option where colourblind folks can set up the screen so they can see it? I would like to hear your views folks.

You can change many of the colours used in the interface (although not in game itself). Press Escape and go to graphics options.
If the problem is in game itself, I have no helpful suggestions, other than to turn up contrast on your screen as high as possible.

I have a friend who's colorblind and he used to have a lot of trouble. Something in this last patch made it easier, for some reason. He said some of the colors had changed, but I hadn't noticed anything different. He spent some time fiddling with the overview settings and had everything important set so he see most things just fine. He just set the colors he couldn't see to stuff he didn't care about.
I don't recall him ever saying he had any trouble in the game itself, just in the overview. I also don't know anything about colorblindness myself, so I can't give you any specific help. Sorry. :(
I haven't seen my friend for a while, but if I do, I'll mention this thread to him and ask if he'd share anything he can with you.

Disclaimer: The following comment is against the EULA and is not used by myself or any other members that I am aware of. I also do not promote such actions, this is merely to help somebody who is struggling to play the game due to colours...
There was a guide to changing the eve font on eve-i a while ago, I am unsure if this could be extended to chaning the colour of it aswell.
If the font was changed to a different colour would it be easier for you to see?
Basically its done by backing up and replaceing the files in this directory
\EVE\res\common\Font

The coloured squares next to the required skills for each item changed in colour last patch. I had trouble telling the difference between the two (learnt/not learnt) before unless I looked at them for a while.
I don't have any trouble with anything else in the game with my admitedly slight colour-blindness, but I could see the above still being a problem for people with complete colour-blindess. |

I'm classified as red/green colourblind. i have a lot of trouble with shades of colour. i have, for example, never seen violet,purple or teal properly. i dont even know what they are. Its the text colours mainly on the chat windows but also the overview settings. I have tried playing around with the settings. My gf also has problems with this game but for another reason. She is blind in her right eye and has difficulty reading the text. I have tried adjusting the text sie on options screen but it only affects certain things. She often has difficulty reading the mission briefings as well as the overview but can see colours perfectly.
