anyways iam wondering what to do with the knowledge of where this field is, i allready got offered 600k to tell this one corparation but idk if its wise to do that.

If this system exists you should be asking for more than 600K, silly boy.

lol if I were you, I would mine it all to myself. That is with a little help from your corp (if you have one)
thats a great discovery, I wouldn't sell it to anyone.

Did you check and see how many ore units are in each of the bistot roids in that system on average?
I have found that high concentration of bistot usually means low quantity per roid :\ . Could just be bad luck on my part though.

I know some system simular to this one, counter 167 roids in one, problem is these sys is like +15 jumps away from closest station...so you better have lots of indy with ya. __________________________________________________________ |

Yup. It's not that hard to find systems with tons of bistot.
Finding systems with tons of bistot near a station is a completely different story... ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |

1) Survey the system (use a survey scanner) 2) Total up the amount of bist that actually exists. 3) Find a reputable corp and make a deal for the information
The last one is the important part. I'd buy the info from you, but I'd want to know the amount of bist that actually exists before we even began negotiations. Then I would insist on verifying the yield. At that point, you'd get paid a fair price for the information and then a percentage of the yield. And I'd insist you hang around while we cleaned the area so you could account for what was mined.
But that's me. Good luck not getting ganked or ripped off
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann

I wouldn't even pay 500K for a system like that.
You are an idiot if you can't find bistot. No offence, but...come on..is it that hard to find??
Its worth a lot more to you if you keep i secret as well. ---------------------------------------

Edited by: Gravedancer on 21/07/2003 23:32:24 The problem with selling information like that is that the 2 sides HAVE to trust each other. Either you have to trust the corp you are selling to not to rip you off if you tell them the location (so they can verify before paying) or the corp has to trust that you arent ripping them off, if you are demanding payment before allowing them to verify.
Personally I would buy the info from you, but like Jash I would want to know some information before even entering into negotiations. I would want to know the total ammount of Bistot in all the roids, and how far to the nearest station, and approximately how far from my main production base (Danera). If you can provide all of that, we can talk about the rest.

Looks like i will have to take a scanner with me next time, i was in my pod so the pirate cruiser's wouldnt attack me, but it seams to me it is a system nobody has ever been in before. also, there is every ore possible from Veldspar to Bistot in the belts, except spodium ididnt see that one there but all the other ones.

Only 2 problems..
If someone else stumbles upon your discovery, then you'll have to share profits.
The other is the concentration of miners in one spot will give their location away on the map.
You should condsider the later in calculating your fee for this information. The corp you sell to definitely will.
Of course just about everyone already knows about these risks, just wanted to reiterate. |
