And as one poster pointed out, not everyone who plays EVE has English as a first language. As a native English speaker I am ashamed every time I come across someone who has a better grasp of my language than I do of theirs. Being English makes you lazy, as it's pretty much everyone's second language. As a counter example, the most multilingual people I know are the Dutch, and that's because NO one has Dutch as a second language. Except the Dutch themselves of course Many of these aren't actually English words though...many are Greek/Latin/Norse/etc derived names...Try looking up Megathron in the english dictionary and you'll see this. It has nothing to do with people not having english as a first language. It's just irritating to see people spamming "WTS Scrop!!1!1!" in ship trade channel, or "OMG you killed my new Throax! I mined for days for that Throax" in local Actually if a 'Scrop' crashed into someone's 'Throax'(throat?), would that be like teabagging? Edit for smiley use.
