Hello !
I just returned to eve after a few years and i m feeling a bit lost for now.

Im still not quite sure what i want to fly, but in the -very- long run i d like to be able to fly the following :
wolf/hurricane/vagabond/rapier/stiletto/cheetah/malediction and megathron from the big toys (!)
Is it possible to fly the above -or most of them anyway- decently?
At the moment i m training towards the hurricane so i can get some isk flow and maybe some pvp when i m confident enough.
Where do my skills lack? Should i train something specific before the patch?

battlecruisers and destroyer, you never know when the destroyer ship will be updated they have the lowest populated type of ship compare to the other sub-cap |

Should consider taking battlecruiser to 5 and all racial cruisers to 3 so you get all racial battlecruiser to 5 after the patch. Destroyers are getting the same racial split so if you want to fly them get that to 5 as well before the patch, i personally think they are **** so i only put them to 4 but some people like them.
But to your original question, you pick a ship you want to fly( the one you want to fly the most preferably) and then you train for that and fully t2 fit it as you like. After this is done you either A)Polish the skills that your new ship uses or general skills like cap and fitting skills and such or B)start training for a new ship that you want to fly. Continue doing this for however long you play. |

Whenever I am unsure what to train on a character I go back to the basics until I figure out a solid plan. In your case it looks as if you could use some more drone skills, particularly some specializations that would allow you to use T2 drones.
Based on your ISK comment it sounds like you may be doing missions, in which case it would pay off to train up any social skill to boost your LP intake (so for example, 'Security Connections') so that you can make more money.
As for the 'before the patch 'stuff, the recommended course of action is to train battlecruisers to 5 and every racial cruiser to 3. This will give you all of the appropriate racial skills for the next patch (Minmatar Battlecruisers 5, Caldari Battlecruisers 5, etc). After the patch you would have to train each one separately. If you like destroyers then train that up along with the appropriate racial frigate skills for the same effect. |
