Ok someone posted another thread like this, but I wanted a more catchy thread title than his :)
The idea is for skills that have the following effects..
plowshares to swords skills -each level trained is +1 perception / -1 intelligence -each level trained +1 willpower / -1 memory
swords to plowshares skills -each level trained -1 perception / +1 intelligence -each level trained -1 willpower / +1 memory
Two years ago when I had no idea how to create a combat character I made a scientific character whos attributes will never be as good as a Civere caldari (combat race). I have regretted doing that for a long time. Everyone would LOVE to switch some points around so that they could become better at what they like to do.
For people who made science blood lines to start with, this will allow them to shift to attributes for combat, and still be balanced with other combat characters since they will both end up with high perception and lower intelligence.
For people who are already combat blood lines to use these to get higher perceptions, they will become very gimped in intelligence and memory. So there is balance in that too.
These skills are for all the people who wished they could go back in time to remake their character a little different, or alot different...But these skills should 100% be in the game to amend those mistakes so long ago...

Under the stipulations that:
1) No stat base could overcome the potential it had at base character creation.
2) Single run agent rewards for like a school.
3) Find some way to prevent people from making a character with uber Int/Mem, train up learning skills, and then switching to uber Perp/Will. A simple reconstructin would lead to much exploit until throughly thought out.
Otherwise, I fully support this idea. No full out PVP character should be stuck with my sh1tty attributes. Its sad, really.

Err Whats the point ?
Attributes are required For every skill in game. So Reducing one to increase another is not going to facilitate the game in any way at all. |

Nice idea. But make these implants not skills. Wern't boosters going to do something like this, some positive effect plus a negative side effect.

CCP will nver implement this into the game. It decreases the chance of people wanting to start a new character so they can better their stats from the start.
And decreased chance of that happening, increases the chance of people in general having only one character per account, which in turn means reduced income for CCP.

After reading the topic i expected to learn something about the skill shouting.
You may read RFC 1855 (http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html) with says:
Use mixed case. UPPER CASE LOOKS AS IF YOU'RE SHOUTING.

How about a drug, DNA mutator, or Sergery you can recieve. Perminent effect, but outrageous cost. Basically an Isk sink for those that messed up their initial stats.
Otherwise, great idea.

one character per account, or three, makes no difference
