Halo appears to be based on Ian M Banks, Culture series of novels. Well any road, there are a lot of un-intentional co-incidencies at the very least.

i so hope not.
can u imagine.
A black screen. then all of a suden some sounds next a shadow of sam fisher moving.
rince repeat for enitre movie.
not type of thing works well in a film imo.

heh... well it would be a change from all the "bond¦ish" agent movies...
is nothing but gunfire for an entire movie better ?
miss the old bond movies... only the badguys had AKs and bond had his pistol...

The Doom movie sounds like it'll be awful, like the second Resident Evil movie. Just run around shooting things, have some big monster to fight at the end, save the day. Hurrah. 
I'd like to see the Freespace series turned into a movie, or a movie set in the EVE universe. Sadly I don't think either will ever be made =(
