Hi everyone
I don't know if the following was discussed, but here is my suggestion.
Allow players to put skills in training queue for as long as their current pilot licence is active.
It would make life in Eve much better, and I do not see any reasons why not.
Also, it would be really helpful to see the the date of pilot licence expiry in character info. A little reminder (ideally customized) would be a great addition, too. |

The 24 hour que is to encourage players to log in and hopefully be dragged into the game. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

ShahFluffers, do not you think it is a lousy way to get people involved? Also, I play then I want to play, if I want to renew my training queue, I do just that. |

Compared to most other MMOs where your character's skills and power depend on how long you are logged in doing something... I think the 24 hour que is a small price to pay.
And hey... sometimes stuff DOES happen when you least expect it to.
edit: there used to be a time where there was no 24 hour que... and CCP dragged it's feet on making it because they didn't want to encourage people to just throw on skills and do nothing else. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

I'm good with the training queue length, what would be nice is if I could add injecting skill books into the queue. It sucks when the pre req you've been waiting on finishes while you're at work/asleep/etc and the new skill book is just sitting in your inventory |

wish I could load the NEXT skill in a chain into Queue
-you know how you have to have your prerequisite finished training before you can even load up the next skill into the queue-
WHY?
it's not like that next tier skill can train if the other one doesn't finish training anyway, so why not allow for the load in?

First you want 30 day skill queue. Then for some people, 30 days isnt quite long enough, so youll want 60. But wait...somone wants even more so they up it to 90. but then again someone will only want to log in twice a year..so they up it to 180 day skill queue. We all know what happens next.
At what point is Eve even worth playing if all you do is log on for 3 minutes 1 time a year to plop skills in?
24 hours is plenty, its fine, its not broken.
Of course, we could always revert back to NO SKILL QUEUE and youll just have to get up at 3am to put in that skill. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

I am with you there. It would make the game better.
Do not understand why not improve training queue as well.

Reasons why not:
A: Current system is not broken
B: longer skill queing time can make people not want to log in, thus causes stagnation of game content.
C: Some skills require more then one month to train so does it really matter?
D: Based on the OP that means if someone buys a yearly sub, then they will only log in every time their bank account takes a hit to que more skills.
E: This does not improve the gameplay at all, it infact de-improves it.
enough reasons for ya? |

Why not just have an OmniQueue ??? Just have all the skills on one yuge queue and you simply reorder them to your liking.
Thank you.

For vacations, tours of duty and other trips you should be able to request from CCP a temporary longer skill que submitting with the request a plan they wish to train that runs until the next time you log in then reverts back to 24 hours.
Even if people want to use misuse that is time they are still subbed to EVE and making money for CCP when they probably wouldn't be if they could not manage to spend 3 minutes logging in after each skill. |

I will support this, but only if it for tours of duty only, and there are safeguards in place to prevent just anybody from using the same mechanic. Perhaps some special CCP employee in charge of just this, and veryifing current/ future deployment. I respect the service the people in the armed forces perform, and i believe that not enough companies like CCP support them, even by doing little things like this.
As for people going on vacation and other trips...they should be plopping in a long skill anyways, and if they take along their laptop theres no need anyways. I do not support this option for these people. Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

What always make me puzzled is people who cannot accept improvements.
Until now I have not seen a single sound reason how my suggestion would make the game worse.

Hey, the wheel in stone age worked, why invent cars? Either you are a forum alt, at which point post with your main. You are truly that new to the game and have not experienced long training skills. You are a vet's alt and are too lazy to log in every day or so to re up skills.

This actually doesn't work, as CCP stated in devpost (no, I can't be bothered to find it). They do keep track of player login patterns.
Yeah, I see no reason to not lengthen it. Probably just nobody in the bureaucracy bothered to look at it.

What does it change if I am a new player or old?
Same old "everything is fine"/
Why are you not playing with wooden toys as your parents did?

Because wooden toys were deemed too expensive and thus no longer produced, functionally they were fine, a cheaper toys are being made in china and break easily. Are you saying that you would be ok with a longer queue if it would randomly stop all training and then you had to log in and completely reset it?
