Arguing that namechanging would promote griefing is somewhat moot given the current FFA on that front.

Added a bit of excitement to a Sunday evening now, didn't it?

Now that would be one hell of a fight if they ever could get the client and server to handle those numbers

Edited by: SpaceDrake Storyteller on 14/08/2005 23:27:43 While working my poor-ass job at Taco Bell today, I got a reciept for $13.37 while thinking about EVE, during the time all this was happening.
It is a sign.

What's a shame though, usually Eve dosn't have the popularity of a single wow server. ------------------------------

WoW servers are what, 4K simultaneous? If that?
EVE is easily 2 to 3 WoW servers at peak hour. Even in the dead times we draw even with one, at least. -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

Well seems like the player base is increasing. Bout time for a sever upgread or 3 cause any more small fights with 75, 80 people lag all to hell.

13,422 concurrent users were online last night. While Guinness isn't recognizing it as a world record (they don't have that as a category yet ), it is something that everyone attached to EVE can take pride in.
Due to the efforts of the Marketing team, magazines and player recommendations, EVE now has over 65k active accounts and close to another 15k on trial.
We are on track for over 75k active accounts before the end of the year.
