Could you people kindly provide me with a PvP crusader setup - I checked the ship setups thread but that person was talking about NPCing setups.
Are beams or pulses better?
Thanks in advance. ________________________________________________

That really depends Flash, are you wanting to tackle? Are you wanting to solo with it? Are you wanting to be anti AF?

I'd like a setup for fleet opps - the one I was using last night worked to a point:
4x Dual Pulses (named) MWD, 7.5km scrambler heatsink, 2x CPR, nano
Is this a good setup? It could be improved I would have thought. For a real tackling inty though I would probably just buy a malediction.
I would also like a setup for soloing and being able to take on AFs would be good. ________________________________________________

If you want to tackle use a Malediction.
4 Medium Pulse II
1mn AB II 1 Webber
Nanofiber Heat Sink II MAPC Tracking Comp (CPU might be very tight though in which case a CPR or small rep)
Let your 3 medslot friends lock people down and shoot damage 4tw \o/

Don't wish to sound like a complete arse however what does 'MAPC' stand for? I have never understood that. ________________________________________________

Micro Auxilliary Power Core
Add 10 raw powergrid to your ship.On smaller ships better then RCU.

No you dont. If you want to plate an inty, a claw or a taranis will do the job better.
Crusader seems to have been designed for the purpose of running long-ranged guns and a 20k forever. This makes it an extremely good tackler, with the caveat that its only got a -1.
Try:
4x Dual Light Beam II
1x 1mn MWD II 1x Fleeting Warp Disruptor
4x CPR (3x CPR/1x Tracking Enhancer with l33t skills) ------------------------------------------------ Derailing threads with logic since 1992 |

What has been tried and tested many a time before for me...
4x Dual Light Pulse II 1 MN MWD II, or 1 MN AB II, 90% webber 1 Small Armor Rep II, 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates, MAPC, Cap Power Relay
If you wanna go more dmg, switch the plate and MAPC for 1 Heatsink and a Nano. Great setup imho, go try it out

I have just got to a point of really liking the Crusader. Though as I have been testing it for the last month I thought the MW drive made my radious too big and frigs were getting some good hits on me. I have since got inty to lvl 4 but my set up has been as follows:
4 named med beam lasers AB and a signal booster (2) MAPC's, heat sink II, Co-proc II
I have only been using this for npc fights so far, but last night I was just in awe as I came into a complex with an 8 cruiser spawn and was able to tank the entire group flying 15 k circles around my targets til they were gone.
though when you do get hit you do see the red appear quick.... and what ever happens DO NOT LET THE SHIP COME TO A HALT !!!!!!! speed is your best friend

BTW the only thing I have left in my CPU is .5, and my Grid has like 1.67
I could barely fit it.
And I am becoming a lover of lasers, cant wait to train up some more amarr ships

High: 4 gatling pulse II's Med: 7,5km scrambler, best webber you have (I use langour, cheap) Lows: Small armor rep tech II, Dmg Control (that one that provides hull resists), 400mm plate, Micro Aux power core
Capable to kill afs
longrange:
4 dual light beams 20km scrambler + mwd 3 cap relays + 1 your choice

the new tech 2 ammo is going to really help the crusader
with the 6 emp/3 therm t2 lenses that have +100% range the crusader is going to be sick.

quoted for truth - that's a sick setup. 4x CPR (3x CPR/1x Tracking Enhancer with l33t skills)

I think Small Armor Rep II, Dmg Control, 200mm plate, Heat Sink II performs better. Use Multy/Scorch crystal. JagerSader ftw

I am limited since I've only been playing for 3 months, but here is what I use...
PVE: 4XDual light pulse II with Conflag S 1MN AB II - 90% Web Small Armor Rep II - Reactive Plating - CR - Random named tracking enhancer
PVP: 4XDual light pulse II with Scorch S 1MN WD II - 7.5k 2pt scram Small Armor Rep II - 100mm Tungsten - CR - Random named tracking enhancer
Works well for me. :)

yea, a bit necroed....
Beam crusader lets you hunt tarani and crows
4x dual light beams with aroura (sp?) mwd, 20km scram - both best named named armor rep, 2x cpr, that grid mod for frigs
with advanced weapon upgrades 5, you can drop the grid mod, but youll have less then 1 pg from my calcs. you could swap a cpr for a damage control, cpu might be a problem for that, and then cap would be a huge problem. then its time to consider dropping the rep....

From my experience, using Infared crystals works better. This prevents your crystals blowing mid fight and the tracking is so much better. Thats just my opinion though and I usually fly in a small gang anyway
My PvP set up is =
4x Dual Light Pulse II (Infared) 1x 20k Scram / 1x MWDII 3x Cap. Relay II 1x Overdrive Inject.II
