don't know if you've heard of these guys, but they wardecced some friends of ours. being the ebil sneaky pirates that we are we layed a massive trap for him, commiting what is known as OVER-GANKAGE!!!!! 
well a rifter and a cyclone warps in, a rifter and a pod warp out. watching his pod we see it warps off immediately, even our instalocking bships cannot get it. suspecting foul play we are quick to check local, and find the cyclones pod has disappeared, and our scouts tell us his mate has ran as fast away as his rifter can carry him.
probing has commenced for his pod, but the world should know these guys log to save their pod.......
Fraps proof, you can see he fires at me but his pod warps away too quick to be normal
he may have crashed his pc but at the time of writing this he has still not logged on, the kill was over 20 mins ago now.

Yeah, someone who I wont mention did this to me and a few friends. Its a chicken tactic, I hate it.

one way of dealing with logging pods are probes (you need quite good skills and some fast ships for that)
or
simply wait till he gets back on.

Even thought the logging is underhand (If it did happen)
It is entire possible to escape in a Pod Before being locked. The only thing that has a chance of getting a good pod Pilot is a Ceptor with boosters. There is no insta locking Battleship that can lock a Pod, The Pod Should Always make it out first, Even a Scorp With 8 tech II sensor boosters, Still takes some time to lock one.
So that leaves two Facts.
You genuinely missed the pod because u couldn't lock in time.
or
He logged And insta warped. (I've still caught players that have done this)
Just thought I'd raise the point that , you prolly just missed him, cos there is no insta locking when Pods are concerned, they have the Ability to warp at the snap of a finger.
One thing i've tried is havine Auto-pilot on When Im going Down, As soon as im free of my Pod You warp to a Gate at 15 with out fuss. Admittedly it leaves you at a Gate, but u are out of the enemy Ships and lag and can now Warp wherever u want.
With regards to Combat loggers. Fry Their Computers so they cannot play EvE, because they don't deserve to.

no, he definitely logged, i was there. You didnt even see the pod moving off from the overview, it literally just disappeared. Shocking eh?

jag panzer, methinks you may have missed the point here...if he logs he will insta warp out. it is impossible to lock him down and take him out in time as he will insta warp away. check ur facts plzkthx

Hey, about hotkeys, what are the hotkeys? I didnt know EVE had hotkeys :o
and one other thing im wondering, why do you want pod kills ? All i see is they lower sec status, and the obvious good feeling of podding them, but as far as cold, hard benefits go, i dont see any :o

Well the Project guys better get their motives correct and grow up a bit for me as I was in local when one of their lads got blasted last night by a few of the free radicals corp, guess what? He logged when his ship blew up. Local had a good laugh about it afterwards. Many a few strong swear words came from the young manĘs mouth when he logged back on. Not nice to hear but funny to read. I just wished pilots would die with dignity.

alloy, i know who u mean on this one (it wasnt me btw) and i have actually had a go at the member for his smacktalk etc, also, in ur comment it claimed to be a young man, 39/40 isnt a young man, so that kidna dispells one theory. and thats one person, he does not repsent everyone in the corp, but i understand how u can use such a judgement though. this si why generalisation is probably the most useless thing ever.

At what point tho, did we say we are project syndicate. That said, i aint gunna ay they suck cus one of their guys logged, as I know for a fact that this would be a rare occurance in this corp. Sure there may be the odd one or 2 who do so, but as a whole, pro s are a good corp <3
