Edited by: Moghydin on 15/08/2005 09:41:28 Here's a few thoughts on how it's possible to hurt pirating corps most.
Introduction of the "exclude" option on escrow and on market. Pirate corps make a lot of enemies, so it'd be logycal if the victim corps would have an option to exclude pirate corporations as their customers. Ability to filter out clients by their sec rating (no selling to neg. sec rating guys). That won't work well on modules, as alts could be used to haul them, but it'll work perfectly well on ships. I think trading boycott would bring down pirates. Those who deal with criminals i.e. sells to them, should take a small sec hit too. Imagine the situation when pirates will have to pay 5 or 8 times more for a ship. Raven costing half a bill for them :)
Closing empire space before neg sec guys. Even if they are -0.1, they are criminals and should be left out in lawless low sec. I mean here that gates shouldn't even open with message like: "Empire/State/Republic etc. refuses to let you in, based on your poor criminal record"
Random appearence of large Concord fleets near gates at low sec, and these fleets should attack anyone with negative status

Edited by: madaluap on 15/08/2005 09:59:37 ok concord getting into low sec is a great idea, because offcourse the mainposter also wants to see pirates factions in highsec (with offcourse the same power as concord) so these pirate factions sabotage lets say empire for just 1 day and every pirate can enter 1.0 or whatever system if its pirate controlled atm. thousands and thousands of carebears will die in an unstoppable smartbomb fest. W00t \0/ do it now!

What I mean is EMPIRE low sec. Not 0.0. Empire low sec is still an Empire territory, so why Concord can't warp in and kill ganking criminals from time to time.

Ok.
And heres a few thuoghts on how it's possible to balance it out.
Introduction of the "exclude" option on escrow and on market. Non Pirate corps make alot of friends, so it'd be logical if the pirate corps would have an option to exclude non pirate corporations as their customers. Abililty to filter out clients by the sec rating (no selling to pos. sec rating guys). That will work well on any named modules dropped by the pirate factions, and it'll work perfectly well on any faction ships. I think a named loot boycott would bring down non pirates. Those who lives in empires and uses named items, should take a small sec hit too. Imagine the situation when non pirates will have to use standard items or train 5 or 8 times longer for the tech 2 item/ship.
Closing low empire space before pos sec guys. Even if they are +0.1 they are not criminals and should be left in carebear land. I mean here that gates shouldnt even open with message like: The pirates dont want your sorry ass here, based upon your ship only fitted with standard crap."
Random appearence of large pirate fleets near any gate at low sec, that would attack anyone with positive status.
Yep im all for it. No wait, maybe not :p [center] http://213.142.66.138/~nervar/myalb.jpg |

WTS clue. How exaclty it will work on ships ?
1. Alt with positive sec buys ship. 2. Alt make an escrow for main or haul ship in indy.

Another great idea - CCP should get rid of the alts. 1 account - 1 char. Of course those who have accessive RL money will have 2 or more chars, but for pirates it'll be hard to persuade mom and dad to pay for another account, because it's needed for proper pirating activities.

No. You can be surprized, but I'm posting with my main. I don't hide behind alts as many low sec "superheroes" do.

If sellers wanted to inconvenience pirates it could be done now with a little organisation. Where there is a will there is a way. Sure it could be circumnavigated by an alt or an intermediary but the option is there.
It all depends on what kind of image the big producers wish to express of themselves and how customers feel about piracy. If a producer sells to pirates, will it hurt their image enough that customers will go elsewhere? As a producer, are you willing to focus on a market niche?
I could certainly see this is as an interesting roleplay hook for corp-corp relations.

Edited by: Sentani on 15/08/2005 10:43:17 would be nice if you got a sec-hit of your sell to pirates...
only place where you woulnt get a sec-hit is 0.0...
would stimulate buisness in 0.0 and make it worth not killing everything you see...
think its a great idea... should be a standing filter to...

If by some stupidly remote chance this was implemented, I would be one of the first to open a "low sec doodz" shop in Amamake :) At least there would a whole lot less retards undercutting each other.

Edited by: Sentani on 15/08/2005 11:03:27 should be more filters to like "newbie corp filter" and "age filter"
no more single use shoping alts
[EDIT] not one of the best ideas tho...
