What I'd like to see is a permadeath server. Let you train skills concurrently in both servers, but on one of them if that charector dies he's out. Maybe on that server have skills train faster and maybe better loot tables to compensate. I think that would be awful fun. Would make it an exciting place to play, and still have tranquility for the more common player.

let them fix one server without worring about increasing lagg by cutting down half the cluster to make another

It would end up costing either double the subscription to cover the additional server cluster required, or cutting the existing number of servers in 1/2 which would degrade performance.
I'd be against that idea. Also I doubt many players would play it as it would have few events since all events would be run on the main server.
Each new server added would involve a whole new setup of GM's, server admins, polaris crew, event crew and money. I doubt it would happen.

Besides anything else, it would contradict the storyline behind EVE. I know there are people who could care less about storylines and fiction, but CCP are not among them.
Also, EVE is supposed to be ONE universe. No seperation between geographical regions, or anything else for that matter. I'd prefer to keep it that way.
