with this tank setup how long do u think i can take fire from 2 sentry guns?
3 x hardener (therm, kin, exp)
1 x med accom
1 x 1600 tungsten
please post constructive replies, not OMG u noob get a BS, etc etc

Never Tried it to be honest, But I think around 10 seconds is a good bet.
It won't be very long, thats for sure. |

Might last a while if you can survive the first cycle on the sentrys since they then will most likely go after your drones.
Wanted for crimes against a rich guy. |

Guessing 30-45 seconds maybe slightly longer its cap would go down fast + providing you dont get shot at by the target.
TBH id try it with a couple of cruisers more and it may be semi viable or use a maller or BC but could be interesting to try.
EDIT: barh was beaten on the drones bit

it tanked 2 apocs and their medium drones for a full 5 minutes at close range, lucky that bs size help arrived.
10s, just enough to get into warp, better rethink this

The main problem is sentries use 10 tch 5 tracking comps  so they will always hit well even on something as small as an inty

Close range is the key words here, Apoc's are most likely set up for medium range, so you would only have to tank the drones. Also, sentries does insane damage, all 4 types, at all ranges. 10-20 seconds is a good bet.

Well close range Tanking against APocs is a different matter as their optimal range was probably out side the distance u were at.
These Sentries Are relentless. You will expect to see Damage hits of 3-400 every 1 second or so not to mention the Shots that Don't get into your log.
I am assuming its 2 Sentries u will be Tanking.
Of course if you have drones u will Last a lot longer because like the other Guy said The guns will go for them.
The point is, You will fire , The guns will fire And then you'll have to warp out, Unless aligned the Warping will take 10 seconds or so, and in that time you'll be Space dust without having even scratched the target.

Cant remember the corp name right now, but in Vecaima before me and a few friends went in to blow them up, a couple of guys were running around in a Maller and a Rupture.
They had T2 small howitzers on from the looks of it, and would warp in, kill indys and frigs within a few volleys, and get back out. They tanked the sentry fire for up to a minute, which was long enough to get the kill. I was very impressed :) Very cheap and effective way to pirate.

Sod the armor rep, you would last longer with a 1600mm plate a 800mm plate and 3x adaptive nanos IMO.

I use a similar rax setup, you have plenty of time to kill a hauler or frig etc and then warp, just dont try anything bigger

Your setup will last quite some time aslong as you use light drones, attacking with them first and remembering to dump some more out when there all dead, it'll cost you a bit but not a great deal,
I do agree that it may help to just have the second piece of armour and loose the rep as it wont do you much good.
Id keep the 3 hardners thu, they will help you a bit.

Was gonna post something very similar... I was attacked in my Enyo by someone in a Rax with 1600mm Nanofibre, he locked me, launched Drones and attacked... The sentries started to eat him (as he was the 1st aggressor) and got him to 50% Armor, then the damage stopped as the sentries cycled through his Drones and he repaired. This happened a couple of times before I actually bothered attacking back and killed him. TBH I didn't realise how good Drones were at diverting attention untill this happened.

around 1 minute is the longest i lasted cant remember if it was the sent that got me or my target though ( i wouldnt count on anything over a minute )
